Old thread here but this is a belated FYI,

I practiced this shot again about 50 times tonight.

Most of the time I hit the CB to right just slightly and missed the shot.

This is a good example of boneheaded practice. (new genre that just fell into my lap)
Generally, it's repeating an unsatisfactory action without knowing the issue. That's not practice. That's reinforcement.

I had to set up 5 diamond straight-in stop shots on both sides of and hit a shitton of them to work out a little prob I had with dominant eye and my arm's miniscule natural roll to the right coming forward.
Once I started making a high % of those shots I could look away and still pocket the ball.
Slowing down my feathers and forward stroke helped a bunch!! Not a decel, just a nice smooth forward motion. Speed can be added later, if needed.

Hit the cue ball to the right?

Slightly missed the shot?

Right of the pocket?
Right of the Target?

Slightly missed what, left or right?
Were your misses always the same?

If you are truly practicing start off by making the shot and not worrying about CB position then gradually start moving the tip down on the CB while still making the shot until you can make the ball and draw CB
