Tired & Sore Feet, and the Pool Player

Hey guys
just want to tell you something about the dr scholls foot mapping thing.
The commercial got me interested so i went to go stand on the machine thing the next day and was super interested. Said i need 410 or something. Looked at the price tag and BOOM! 50$!? No way am i spending 50$ on a product i know nothing about so i went to do some research.

Turns out the foot doctor community hates it because first the "mapping technology" is a 2D rendering of the bottom of your feet, which are 3D so it will be inaccurate. Nothing will beat a custom fit by a real foot doc! A doctor said the schols product is equivalent to putting marshmallows in your shoes. They will feel good for awhile but when they flatten it will feel the same as it did before.

The foot doctors are going to say NOTHING good about a product that will compete with them and cost them money. Doctors of any kind are not Gods and most aren't very honest either. Johnnyt (ex nurse)

PS: Always get a 2nd opinion and from a doctor that DOES NOT have privilages at the hospital the 1st doctor does. Better yet go to another county or state for the 2nd.

There is a money back guarantee, but?

When I went to the REAL FOOT DOCTOR last Friday, they CAST Impression of each foot, in another week I will pick up the Leather/Cork Orthotics, and see how they work.

My orthotics were made from carefully done casts. You are probably in for some serious torture. :)

Buy some Red Wings. They are made for standing on concrete. They are the only shoes that I wear and my feet never get sore or "tired". The first time I went into the store I tried on a pair that looked like what I wanted but they didn't feel right. The salesperson said if they don't feel right now they never will. You don't break in a pair of shoes. Tried on a few styles and found one that felt great. Have been buying that style for years.

That really depends on the type of feet you have. I have a wider foot in the toe box, and not one pair of leather redwings fit my feet. The only pair I could ever wear were the Kevlar Redwing WORX since they come in a triple wide and are softer, but the insoles sucked pretty bad.

And what ever salesman said you don't break in leather boots much less shoes is full of it, especially when it comes to leather. Fabric shoes/boots like those WORX are a little differient as they are not stiff like leather.

Most peoples problems with their shoes are their feet, you have over pronators, under pronators and neutral feet. If your shoes don't match your feet and how you walk run they are going to make your feet and everything else hurt, and can throw your whole body out of whack.

knows about feet,

Seeing that I work for the Red Wing corporation, I'm happy that someone likes them. As far as I'm concerned they are overpriced crap. I too wear them, but I wouldnt if it wasnt for the discount we receive. I work on concrete all day and my feet kill me always. Of course that could have something to do with being a bigger guy that only wears a size 9 shoe ;).

Cocco I too have sore feet. Being a mechanic will do that. I'll give those inserts a try.

And please ditch the new Avatar. It sucks, I like to old Cowboy better:grin:. It's just not the same without the ole' thumbs up.
