Did Brunswick make any Titlist blanks using Birdseye Maple?

Not really intentionally. Occasionally figured wood would get into the stock and they would use it. I've seen birdseye, curly and other figured maples on Titlists and 26 1/2's. I have a birdseye 26 1/2 that's pretty cool looking, saving it for a conversion some day. It's rare to find anything other than straight maple.
can we see pics. that's pretty intersting, they would fetch a pretty penny.
psst.. gonna tell you a secret. I keep reading that new glue is far superior than old glue. Titlists are really, really old, and at any time they could delaminate and fall into a cue jigsaw puzzle on your pool table. For that reason alone, I am offering to buy any titlist blanks for 75.00 as long as they are straight.
I mean you know, 70, 80 years with many still in service, I really don't know how much better the glue today actually is or can be. Since it will take you 80 years to see if it lasted that long....
JV (----not going to be here in 80 years... maybe 70 if they keep advancing in the medical department...![]()
Yes I can post pics, I will take a few of the cue ASAP.[/QUOTE
Your ASAP must be different from everyone else's ASAP
Would love to see the oak tru balance. Just picked an oak one up myself. It's really patinaed tho, not sure if I can tell if it's Birdseye too.
What price range for this cue? Also I have access to other one piece house sticks with barely any stickers left, but you can tell one is redish like a balke calendar brunswick sticker and tru balance and maybe a blue sticker. All are pretty rough and have black ferrules and warped. Are these worth picking up? Do people convert these too even tho there's no veneers?
Thanks,
Tim
