Titlist Conversion Cues vs Tributes

I have seen a lot of Titlist Conversion Cues on various threads. Some of the veneers look absolutely brilliant. I am starting to get skeptical whether or not some of these are actually conversions or tributes. I have rarely seen before and after photo's of the actual one piece Wllie Hoppe cue to verify that it is a conversion.

I would appreciate your thoughts

I have seen several befores, and afters. Most of the Original Titlist do not have perfectly even points.

I just got my hand on an Original Two Piece Willie Hoppie with Leather WRAP Circa 1940's. The Butt Section Rolled Straight, the Shaft was a WOBBLER. The Cue is now in the hand of someone who will evaluate it for conversion. As I said the Point on this Cue were like most of the other Original Titlists I have seen. That being not Perfectly Even, Steven:wink:

FYI below are a series of Original Titlist Photo from Blank to First Couple of Cuts to Conversion.

If you look at the pic you will see at least 1 of 4 genuine Titlest blanks that were still an inch at the joint. I think you will also see a butt sleeve with square boxes. I got them about 12 years ago from a 75 year old man that used to sweep floors and clean up in Cue Makers shops when he was younger. Plenty of meat left to straighten points with offset. I gave one or two to a friend, never asked if he made a cue out of it.
