Titlist conversion?

I would like to hear what you all think a fair price for a conversion is from a new cue maker with less than a hundred cues made. he has high quality standards and does not make cues for a living just as a hobby. He has all the required equipment and from the work that I have seen knowledge to do a conversion. just curious as to a price. I understand that i would be paying essentially for his time. conversion would require a handle to be made and tennoned and inserted 2 shafts ivory joint hoppe ring at joint and in butt sleeve. I'll go out on a limb and say 500-700. 100 cues is not exactly a beginner, and in a Titlist conversion point and veneer work isn't an issue. Without inlays, this one would be hard to mess up. In many cases, just buying the blank will cost him 200-400.

It's impossible, IMO, to give an accurate estimate without knowing which cuemaker you're talking about. Cuemaker's reputations vary so much.

I would say the bottom would be $200 and go up. As in most things it is as important who did it as what it is.

I have had local cuemakers make titlist conversions for years and while they played well, their value was small because of the unknown maker.

It isnt "hit" it isnt work or quality. In most cases it is who the cuemaker was that did the work.
