Cany anyone PLEASE PLEASE tell me what it means/stands for?

Movie: Color of Money
What: on the licence plate of "Eddie's Car". it reads "TK 6"
 
"Tom Kruise gets the 6" -- Grady Seasons












Actually I did an internet search and got nothing. I think it means nothing. :o
 
In an interview with the director, he was asked the same question, his answer was it dosen't mean anything. It has nothing to do with the movie.

Hmm... there has to be some significance. As many times as they go over, and over, and over things in pre-production, production, and post-production - there are no accidents in movies.

Maybe Scorsese did not intend anything by it, but someone did! ;)

Personally, I always took it as a play on Fast Eddie's personality/character. It is a common phrase to "take 5" as in a break - Eddie, takes a little extra - one more (TK 6) :-)

Not joking here. It stands for Tony King. He was crushed underneath a pool table on the set of Color of Money when setting up the table in the bar where they played the two brothers and a girl. The 6 is a bit more obsure. It could mean, the table has six pockets or that the table didn't actually kill him but the 6 ball fell into his mouth and he choked to death. The more obvious meaning would be that he had 6 toes on one foot.

RIP Tony.
 
i think that was the year tommy kennedy got 6th at the u.s. open. tk was paul newman's favorite player.;)
 
The guy who rents cars to movie companies is named something with initials T K.

The number 6 is which car in his fleet this car represents.
