To all IPT players - Read this about checks

Put the cork back in the bottle. After talking to Randy Goldwater, it is recommended through the team of lawyers on the IPT case, to hold off cashing the checks until the end of next week when the lawyers will have definitive information.

We've waited 2 months to receive any type of payment - a little longer won't hurt. We definitely need legal advice on this situation.

This bears repeating.

PoptheChampagne~ IF you choose to quote something that Randy Goldwater supposedly said to you, then if you want to be taken seriously, USR YOUR REAL NAME other than PoptheChampagne.

Otherwise, your comments will not be taken legitimately, and I can promise you, that regardless of weather Randy said this or not, he would like to be asked his permission before he is allegedly quoted in the future.

I'm a 2006 tour member and yes I had Randy Goldwater's permission to print this. We're all on the same team, that's all I have to say.

According to what Randy has told me and I also have it in writing fron Randy, it was fine if you used it, but NOT under an alias. I also told you on the phone when you called me asking me to remove or edit my post, to call Randy because this is what he told me, and he was not happy.

The resident bookie down our club reckons it's even money the point proves to be moot in any case because there will not be any part payment cheques issued and therefore no decision required upon cashing them:)

.....but he appreciates that a contingency plan and legal recommendations should be established just in case;)

PoptheChampagne...In addition Dude posted that same advice in another thread...

<<Just spoke to my attorney. In the state of New York, and possibly many other states, If you cas the checks, you may lose your future rights.>>

so there was clearly no problem with you attributing that remark to him.

Regards,
Jim

Jim, I agree, it is what he said. But the problem is not what Randy said, the problem Randy has is this:

If you are an IPT member making coments such as this, use your name. Don't hide behind an alias because you still want to play in the tour if it continues.

It's like, if the IPT is going good at the time or if Deno tells you something he wishes for you to believe or support him on, you use your own name. BUT, then when you want to say something that he or the IPT won't like, you use an alias. It's called being two faced. This is what he has a problem with.

I just relayed to you, what Randy told me in conversation and VIA email. So as I said, just take it up with him.

UWATE just said in another thread that HE HEARD.Rodney received 10% today .QUOTE]

If that's true it could be great. Can anyone confirm?

Linda & Mike? Received any checks?

I just hope Rodney and the rest wait another week before cashing it, so they can wait for legal advices from the union.

I dont want to be negative but it is going to take a lot to get these players not to cash these checks IF IT IS TRUE that some have been issued.

Eydie...<<It's called being two faced. This is what he has a problem with.>>

I know you're being the messenger here and I respect your views. But Randy seems to have a LOT of problems...with a LOT of people...including the majority of FANS that he has publicly disrespected on this forum.

The fact remains that PopTheChampagne merely repeated the advice the Dude had already posted here. For him to have a problem with someone repeating advice he already gave...just because his "permisson" was not asked for or granted is absurd and just shows what an arrogant person he actually is. Rich? So he says. Done a lot for SOME people in the pool game? Yep. But arrogant nevertheless.

Besides, if Dude has a "problem" with PopTheChampagne...why doesn't he post his own concerns? Why does he send you off as his messenger?

Ooops....forgot...he is the King of the World who by his own statements has lost interest in this forum and most of the FANS who post here.

So, all he has time for is a desperate attempt to save face regarding my thread with him wherein he called me a fraud...and was shown...by his own appointed "expert witness"...sjm...to have been FLAT WRONG on his HEARSAY version of the story.

Finally, there are a LOT...in fact the vast majority of pros who have remained silent on the whold IPT thing...probably, in part at least, to not "rock the boat" with the IPT in the unlikely event that it survives....and I personally don't blame them. That would be a form of being "two faced" in Dude's mind I suppose.

And BESIDES...the post, as noted above, merely repeated the advice HE ALREADY GAVE ON THIS FORUM. What the HELL is his problem????????

Other than the fact that his boot didn't get licked to his satisfaction.

Always the best to you. (-:
Regards,
Jim

What torture....to have finally received a check from the IPT and being told not to cash it....anyone's first inclination is to run to the bank and cash it immediately as with tournaments past, but to hold it and not cash it? Not easy...

considering that the money is in the account now, but not might be in the future if they hold checks ..... and if I cashed one, I would add a note that I am accepting only as partial payment below my signature. And I would photocopy the check, twice, front and back. File one with my attorney, and keep one for my private files.

IF you or anyone else is thinking about doing so, consult with your attorney about also reflecting the BALANCE DUE on the back of the check as well.

to help legally i think you'd have to have ready other published "contract" info that collaborated the fact that you were entitled to more. this can be tricky.
