To Be a Better Player

To Julyx,
To answer your other question, neither Efren or Francisco had orthodox strokes and they did okay. Keith stood all kinds of different ways and had a million ways of hitting the ball and he struck fear in all the tournament champs.
Let’s not forget SVB, he’s won a few things, his cue arm is forward of perpendicular, had a weird twist in his stroke motion up until about a year ago, as he seems to have eliminated it. Also tended to hit balls more than stroke them in the early years of his career when he had a large portion of his successes. Like JJ once told me, if you’re playing 6-10 hours a day, you can make almost anything work.

David Rhoades was a top player in the Portland area. His coaching to me was regarding The Big Eye.
 Imagine the shot.
🤷‍♂️
Planes
Lines
Points
Is the 3 leg stool or perhaps whole E Trinity.
Trinity was My high-school. 🤷‍♂️
At address find the plane
Getting to stance get the line.
At Fire the eyes are on the point of entry to whitey with the path through the ball is the focus. As the line was mapped by Data. Stay on the yellow brick road.

Straight pool and one pocket both count balls, no money ball except whichever you shoot last. Not sure what you mean by your last line, we all work with what we have but you seem like you might be ignoring your best days. There are a handful of times in your life, maybe more for some, when magic is in the air. Fire at five rails and it falls like a hanger. I enjoy those days to the fullest.

The local bar had an elite few players, a group I hadn't been admitted to at fifteen. Then I had a shot that involved a 3/4 table kick into a carom with the money ball about a foot from the side pocket angling into it. The man I was playing was a recently retired pro boxer so I went over to where he was talking and explained the shot, verifying it was legal. We were friendly but not friends and I wasn't looking for a fight with William over a few dollars! Never forgot that shot, it was the one I made my bones with. After that I was accepted as a player, not a banger. I have learned if I see a shot falling before I shoot it almost always will. If I can't visualize it falling I am probably whistling Dixie!

You've got the eye. You can tell ahead of time if it's wired. Tried explaining this B4 and players look at me like I have one big eye. 😂🤦🏻‍♂️

My entire dialogue can be summed up in one sentence. 'Get out of your head and into your experience.' This actually is good advice in life as well.

Most of the time we are walking around thinking of something that happened in the past or something that will happen in the future. Try living entirely in the present moment, seeing and observing everything that's going on around you. Now you are truly alive. Also can be summed up in one sentence, 'Be here now.'
Yes! This view is backed up 100% by Eckhardt Tolle's book, The Power of Now. There we learn that all we have in this life, ever, is this specific instant. The rest is our mind creating a future or looking backwards to the past.

Well report if Magic Pill works.🥰

A friend of mine was a veterinary student. There was one guy in the class, rich, arrogant, a bit loud mouthed, and none too bright. He was struggling while my friend was breezing along with a 4.0 while not seeming to try. The rich guy asked him how. My friend said, "you see it is like this, I take this capsule. Helps you think, helps you remember things, makes learning easy!"

Naturally the rich guy was interested. Naturally the pills were expensive. Ten each and you took one a day. My friend told all the other classmates and a person or persons unknown carefully prepared the pills.

About three days after starting taking the pills the smart kid went to my friend. "You know, I do feel sharper but these capsules taste like sheep shit!"

My friend didn't bat an eye, "See there, you are getting smarter already!"

I haven't checked in a few years but last I looked almost all pro's hit the cue ball late, forearm past perpendicular. I usually hit late too, the stroke tends to be straighter and there is less tendency for the tip to roll on the cue ball.
