Tom Wirth DVD on Running Balls at One Pocket

Eight n out, Jay!!!

NO MERCY.

I ended up tied for 7-8th out of 32 players. I won a couple of tough matches (the first one over Frank Almanza) and lost to a couple of good players (Jerry Matchin aka Baby Huey) knocked me out, but overall I'm satisfied with my progress. I definitely played better than I did two months ago in Vegas. The tourney was hosted by Steve Booth of onepocket.org and held at California Billiards. We played on two Diamonds and six Gold Crowns, all of them in good condition. There was quite a few good players in the event and I think everyone had a good time.

First prize paid over $1,000 and the Calcutta also paid over $1,000 for first. I had the two players who finished third and fourth so my calcutta winnings helped pay for the trip. All and all a good experience and glad that I attended. Good competition in a friendly atmosphere, playing a game I love. You can't beat that. :thumbup2:

I have come to really love the books and DVD'S
Tom wirth has made available

When I got these DVDs on running balls
I was worried that I wouldn't learn anything
I feared it was just watching Tom run nearly 20 straight racks from the break

At first I paid little attention
until i finally saw some of the basic ideas

I realized why I was so weak at the offensive side

You want to see how its done,by a former world beater
and pick up the ideas that could really give you insights

Buy everything Tom Has done

His book and DVDs are all super
Dean

I agree or just play lots and lots of American Rotation, straight pool and 1 hole. Takes a little longer my way but the trip is oh so grueling
