When I first started dating her, I straight up told her that I would always be a pool player and that I would never give up playing pool.....
Things were fine for the first few years and then she started to get tired of pool being one of the only things that I talked about.
Pool is the second most addictive thing I've ever done, and I've done a lot....

husband and wife shouldn't play ANYTHING competitive together (even if they are on the same team). Being hard on yourself for not performing is one thing.....
So, Jaden, did you renegotiate for 2009? If not, my dim understanding of the female/spousal mind is that you absolutely are NOT entitled to MORE time in the absence of new agreement!
Good luck ... I, too, am always in such "negotiations." But I find they are always conveniently forgotten. The best rule I have found in such is cases is it's easier to beg forgiveness than grovel for permission.

Absolutely.....
The problem started when I said that if she let me go on one Sunday to play someone that I would not do anything pool related for the rest of the year....
(today is the end of the year) Then she said that she didn't want to hold me to that, so I could do pool related things twice a week with the exception of weekends. (that had to be family time)
Now she may claim that the allowance of the two days allows the agreement to extend beyond the end of the year, but that ain't gonna fly with me)
I said the rest of the year and that's what I meant.

Hey wait a minute my wife of 28 years is the team captain of our APA 9ball team and she got us to Vegas, and we might be headed there again this year. It's nice to share something I love so much with someone I love so much and we very rarely argue over a match win or lose ( it is a game ) not the end of the world if you lose. She never fusses when I go to DCC or US Open for three or four days since she see's how much I love pool, I even drive her Denali to Louisville every year.---Lucky Leonard
