Tomorrow I go to work at 3:00 am and after eight hours I drive two hours to Aspen and play One pocket (a game that I rarely play) against two players I know and a couple off ringers I have never met......I am going to own them, at least thats how I am planning this.;)

1P...great game. Hope you bury these guys. Let us know how it goes. OnePocket is the only game I enjoy. It's complicated & challenging ... a game in game. Have fun.

Thanks GC. I watch a fair amount of one hole and I bank well, my defense is good enough. I will let you know how it turned out.

Um, You are planning to eat, and rest before game time, aren't you? If not, your plans may not work out in your favor.

An early 8 n out will make them dog it......
....'cause you know that players from Aspen tend to quake.

Eat yes, rest no. You are so right about playing tired, I'm hoping that I will be amped up enough to be sharp until the drive home:eek:

Own on, my good friend, own on.

Thanks you crazy bald heads ;). Just got home and I will grab my gear and head west.
Pics to come.

At the age of the players there there was medicinal for sure:p

Things got in the way of my report back to AZ but I have a few minutes.

I was the pup at this match and the one who had the least experience at One Pocket but I was not helpless due to many hours of watching good players play the game. Having said that watching is one thing playing is completely different:embarrassed2:. I found that I needed to think much more than I am used to.

We played partners and I got Richard. Richard is 15 years my senior and in his early 70's and sporting a Ranbow cue that he purchased from Herman himself, only the second Rambow i have ever seem in person. Richard was from Chicago and had a few great stories to tell.

The other side of this match was fd_colorado originally from Wisconsin and hung out with Jerry Briesath and fd's partner was JR from the New York area. JR is also full of.........stories and and a damn good shot at all the games.

I was amazed at how many things could go wrong at One Pocket and we found ourselves down 3-1 in a race to 5. We were able to tighten up and won the next 3 games to go on the hill. Then fd and JR came storming back to make it hill/hill.
The last game was epic and lasted almost an hour. My partner and I dogged it at the end and sold out.

We then went on to play Nine ball for a spell. This was a great day and we are planning to try and get together monthly.

I need to resize some pics and I will post some of the players and the Rambow.
