I'm playing a very strong player in my area at his house getting the last two race to 9 for $25. About our normal spot and wager. I win 9-6, lose 9-3 and win 9-7. He played bad and I kept my composure. After I win one set for the night get told," at least I know you can't beat me even". Always something in pool. I vote for players to play and have fun and not belittle players to make their ego feel better. I hope my son Benjamin plays this game strong and is happy when his opponent shoots well

Hopefully the other player made his comments out of frustration right after your match. Sometimes people can have a snide remark in this situation. Maybe that was it and maybe not.

Cute kid, I bet you're proud. I also bet you'll give your son every opportunity to take interest in the game and if he does I bet he'll be at the very least a good player.
 
What a cute kid Man. My boy is 8 now. My how time flies. I miss him being smaller already.

You usually have to throw it back on them..... after he said that you have to mention who is walking home with the money...

My daughter shows no interest. My son is going to learn to win and lose with respect for himself, his opponent and for this wonderful game of pool.

I been inna 3 week long slump now that started with 2 matches each against 2 of the strongest players around these parts. I lost all 4, and have been down since, so thanks for making me smile ! :cool:

An aside: I did find someone good to match-up against in APA league, so now I gotta bring my game.

Cute kid.

My daughter is not quite 1 yet and has her own tiny pool stick and table. At this point she just tries to eat it or hit me in the head with it, but we'll get there.
