Tony Watson vs Keith Bennett

Thanks for the post Gunzby. That's the 1st time I've seen Tony play. He makes the game look too easy. Kind of reminds me of a right handed Rodney Morris. A lot of firepower. The commentators said Tony was a AAA skill level. Isn't Tony considered a pro???

I haven't watched the video, but I believe it was from the GSBT. The AAA rating is the way Shannon handicaps his tournaments. I'm pretty sure that's the highest rating they give someone.

At 58:30...Keith makes a bad hit when shooting at the 1....he barely nudges the 2 and nobody saw it but me!! lol!! check it out...lol

There's another one in there of Tony and Sam Monday. Haven't seen it yet, but I'm sure that it's good

Wow, he's very strong...wonder why he hasn't gone higher in recent big tourneys (like the U.S. Open, etc.)? I know it's a lot different between regional tours and the Open, but shooting that strong.......he drilled the back of the pocket every time and had the cue ball absolutely in control. One of the cleaner performances you'll see. Keith was impressive, too, but it was hard to notice next to Tony's game.

Thanks for posting that match Gunzby. I had never heard of Tony Watson before moving to Greenville, SC, 5 years ago. So I was amazed when I first saw him play. When he is on (with the right blend), he is simply awesome.

Anyone who has not seen him play, should watch this video. Tony's cueball control, patterns and shotmaking are nothing short of world class.

I think the reason Tony hasn't done much in major tournaments is he's a gambler. He doesn't seem to care about tournaments, other than to find people to gamble with. When he's playing for high stakes, his speed and focus increase, while others melt under the weight.

I guess the commentators also fell asleep! Saw Tony play here in OKC. when he was very young. Incredible then and now. Awesome match, good quality stream and FREE!

Coz, as they say:

The belt just holds up your pants.

Tony doesn't want to beat 15 people to win 40k, he wants to play a set for 40k with 15 people...but he'd prob want to jack it up after a set or 2 anyway.
