I also forgot Larry Nevel. He's gotta be in the top 5 in the USA, if not the top 10 at the most.
Look at the rankings. The best indication we have other than peoples opinions is the current UPA rankings which is up to date before the IPT came along and the UPA stalled.

OK not every player played in every comp but most of these guys did. With the exception of maybe SVB you can't really argue with peoples results.
Mike might not be the most naturally talented and his stroke isn't the best BUT he gets results consistently.

Danny did not get a meal ticket for the IPT. He had to qualify in Orland Park. Which BTW he went undefeated through a field of world beaters with the likes of players such as: Luat, Matlock, Slivka, Bowman, Wiseman, Griffis (cant remember the others) to EARN his opportunity.
I also believe if it was possible to have a tournament between these five players, and have them play the following disciplines: 8-Ball, 9-Ball, 10-ball, Straight Pool, Bank Pool, and One-Pocket, Danny would have the highest average finish combining all events.

Some might argue that Johnny's the best, but if I have a choice of which match to watch in a tournament i'll choose a match other than the one Archer is playing in. In his younger days he was dynamite to watch and next to impossible to beat, but the new Archer is quite different...SLOW might be the best description.sjm said:
