Here's a stab at bar box 8-ball west of Ontario:

Stan Tourango, Tyler Edey, Edwin Montel, Felix Beardy, Kevin Cardinal

9-ball you can get a pretty good idea from the Canadian 9-ball tour results.

Bar Table 8-Ball
Edwin Montal
Stan Tourangeneau
Tyler Edey
Dave Martin
Jason Klatt

9-Ball
Edwin Montal
Tyler Edey
Erik Hjorleifson
John Morra
Jason Klatt
John Morra

This is from last years Canadian 9-ball tour rankings. The only problem here is that some players entered all the events and others didn't.

It just so happens that the top 4 of the 5 listed played in all, everyone below them including Alain Martel, Adam Smith missed at least 2. However these names were at the top of the list all three seasons.

Hope this helps,

The 8 ball looks good...

9 ball... The order could change, Jason has been improving tons over the last year and Tyler is always getting better. All are really close though.

Edwin
Alain Martel
Tyler
John
Jason

Just IMO

9 Ball
1) Jason Klatt
2) John Morra
3) Tyler Edey
4) Edwin Montal
5) Adam Smith
6) Eric H(not even going to attempt it!)

8 Ball:

Its really tricky to rate this one, there are a lot of strong players who strictly play barbox who can break and run just as good as anyone else out there. But 100%, I know Im #1!

1) Dan!

hahaha.

Is Alex not in Canada anymore?

He still has a Canadian citizenship, however he represents the Phillipines in all tournaments. Furthermore he doesn't compete in many Canadian events anymore, he certainly hasn't played in the Canadian Championships in years.

C'mon! Really?

I am in DC and the links are deserted here...of course it ahs rained for 40 days & nights...

Jason in fact missed 2 whole events and still finished 5th. If he kept his avg up for those two he would have come second.

Quite possible the only reason Luc isn't on that list is because he hasn't been travelling to play. That being said many of the players in Quebec don't travel besides Alain Martel. Francis Krevier has had success in the few he has entered and I'm sure if Danny Hewitt, Nicholas Guimond and Harrold Rousseau travelled more they could be with those top players.

Ron Wiseman and Adam Smith can also be mentioned with this group.

I've seen him play at a couple of the Canadian 9-Ball tour events. He can play that's for sure.

Just a quick update on Kevin I have seen him playing a few times he is living in Manitoba and plays in some of the bigger tournaments and he is still a force to reckon with.

There are some other good barbox players here in Winnipeg, Felix Beardy Randy Pruden, Jerrod Spence, Berry Mclean and Ryan Solleveld just to name a few.

Most Friday nights some these guys plus more are playing in a barbox tournament in my room, so if you ever come thru Winnipeg stop in and play.

I think we all have to admit that weekly Canadian tournaments get some BIG names. (like above)

Shooters you can routinely find Johnny Morra, Jason Klatt, Eric H, Mike Petrowicz (sp?) etc.
