Top players lining up for draw then changing

I play this way, we call it digging. It's easier for me to find the crease and sight through balls, the rail, a combo or whatever the task. The holding pattern is important that it is in sync and consistent with the eye pattern and preliminary stroke rhythms, it's really very simple.
I don't like playing off the top of the cue ball. I don't see what I want to see as easily and I play mostly center cue ball down, inside cue ball, rarely up high, no reason to.

When I drop down I place the tip on the cloth as close to the cue ball as possible for a second and hold, it's almost under the cue ball. I reset and transfer my eyesight and tip placement from what I saw as I was standing over the shot, any correction is basically undetectable. I take a few prelim strokes, hold again, bow and arrow then fire. Unless I dropped down off the shot line its all systems go, otherwise it's a restart, a rare occurrence.

It happens quickly from the holding pattern to delivery. The initial hold is very short lived; the second hold or delay is slightly longer and precise before striking.

What may seem to some as lining up dead center low could actually be left or right spin especially if you are playing inside the cue ball, it's very deceiving unless you are the one doing it, and spin is eyelashes. If I am going further out most times I drop it on the cloth further out or I may strike with BHE which is another story for another day.

There is more to it such as digging in then climbing up the ladder to strike or a BHE delivery from there.
Many players do it and do it differently, this is basically my routine.
I do not do this when I play 3 cushion billiards

Bustamante was asked about it in an interview. His explanation was that is how he did it when he started playing, simple as that.

Probably does help find the center of the cue ball.

But when I've watched him, the tip/shaft is no where near to the center line.
