Put a bad nick in my schon the other night, it already had another bad nick and ive been thinking how nice a leather wrap would be, so ive decided to go for a refinish/leather wrap on it. I have to say i love the stacked leather tiger wraps, the penetration model with the multiple colors http://www.tigerproducts.com/store/home.php?cat=103, something tasteful like a brown and black (ths schon is black points with maple), nothing gaudy. Ok my delimma is this.....do I send my stick to tiger and let them do it all? Has anyone had tiger do a refinish as well as a wrap, i dont know if they even do them. My other 3 options would be to either send the cue back to schon, to mike webb, or to sherbine @ proficent (after some research and personal experience these are the 3 I narrowed the list to, although im sure there are tons of great cue makers out there who could do this job well). I am going to need some ring work done because i want the wrap extended longer than the originial and a new channel will have to be cut, etc etc. I really dont want to have the cue redone then send to tiger for the wrap, i want it all done by one person at one time. Opinions?

Another option is Mueller www.poolndarts.com looks like they can cut the groove, wrap w/ stack leather and refinish. Ive had work done by Scot at Proficient and he does awesome work but I dont think he'll wrap w/ stack leather. A lot of people had said great things about Mr. Webb too.

Scot gets my vote

I think Scot at Proficient Billiards work is second to none. I am playing with a Tad and the finishing is marginal at best.

Trust me it will be Scot that refinishes it.

Whoever does the refinish, Tiger does a sensational job on the wraps. They have a guy there who has done thousands of them and he did my cue -it's as good as it gets. They don't do refinishes. I use Scott but I understand Michael does a good job. Schon, of course, is good but check their time frame.

Careful of the colors on the stack - call Corey Harper at Tiger and get his advice.

What I like about the stack is the way they feel, more like a wrapless cue but not cold and glassy like poly coated wood. They have a great feel.

What I really like about Tiger's stack is they got it perfectly level to the surface of the cue. It looks great. Here's mine on my JW

Mike Webb and a lizard wrap...have yet to see a better job in person than his work.
