Hi Folks,

Any Canadian AZ'ers know the results of the World Masters Qualifier event in Toronto a week ago? I've heard rumors the event was won by Dave Grau from Rochester. Just want to know for sure. Wouldn't be surprised. He's a great young player.

That's correct.

Jason Klatt beat him to the B-side in the first or second round, but then he came all the way back through the losers bracket to beat Jason in the finals.
 
I'm pretty sure Jason said he got third. I think someone named Louis got second. Sorry I can't recall his last name. Either way, Dave did win and congrats to him.

Hey Nathan and Sarah,

Thanks for the replies. Dave's a great competitor. Looking back over the last few years, we've gone back and forth. Nice to see him do well in a major event. Now I can ask for weight;)!

Incidentally, the jump in my game over the last couple of years or so is directly related to watching and playing Dave on a regular basis. Used to do a bad imitation of Lou Butera. Now I play more in Dave's style and tempo.
