Johnny, what surprised me were the number of Fox and Hounds in the U.S. I think there were 86 or so.

You can go to infospace.com, typ in billiards in "type of business" window and fill in "state"....gives listings for each state.

I am sure this is not all of the rooms but it is a pretty good list. I have noticed a few are now out of business, so I am not sure about the timing of recent updates.

The Viking Tour mailing list has 2800 active rooms with about 1600 of them being tournament quality locations.

Interesting results.

I found many places that have gone under and others that arent even listed. They must be getting references from some third party that might not be accurate. Business license reciepts or something that is a couple years behind perhaps? I work in the industry and still couldnt give a 100% description of what defines a sports bar vs a bar with pool tables vs a pool room vs a game center. Interesting search engines anyways.
