Tournament charts for Double Illumination tournaments for players numbering 8,9,10,11,etc. and on up to 31 players. The Winners brackets and the Losers brackets are on the same sheet of paper until you get up in the 20s and then they are on seperate sheets.

I thought they may have come from the old Playpool.com website, but I can't locate them there. Does anyone know where to download these type of charts for Free ?

Does it have to be on 2 sheets??? Here's a 32 man board. You can use it for 8, 16, and 32 players.

If you already found that page, and they're not what you need, I don't know of any others.

If it's something really special and out-of-the ordinary you need, someone could make one up for you. Are you going to be running a lot of tournaments? I might have time to build something. How soon do you need it?

Thanks, I found those on Playpool, but they aren't what I'm looking for. For the past 8 years, we've been using tournament charts with the EXACT number of players entered. You don't need to use a larger number chart and enter 'byes' (the byes are already figured in).

Others have been dipping into the box of tournament charts for their league tournaments and they didn't print out anymore when they got down to the last one or two sheets. NOW, we're missing some numbers.
I can't remember where we got them originally and I can't seem to find them now.
We have 16,32,64 and 128 player charts, but we're looking for the 'individually' numbered charts for each Specific number of players...

( the charts that I'm speaking of are for 8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25,26,27,28,29,30 and 31 players respectively and they fit on 8 1/2" x 14" paper )

Go to www.download.com and do a search for "double elimination" and you should be able to find a freeware program that will let you print out the brackets for whatever you need. I would have found a direct link for you, but just about everything freeware is blocked on my network..

Ugh. Why? Aside from the "it's so easy" bit.

So many advantages to the normal 8/16/32/etc sheets:

1) You don't have to keep MILLIONS of photocopies around (a bunch for the 8 sheet, a bunch for the 9 sheet, etc)
2) What happens when someone walks in late? No bye spots means throw away the old sheet, go into your million-sheet pile to pull out the next numbered sheet, then try and figure out where this new guy goes in the mix.

That's exactly why we use them. It's easy. It's about 280 sheets, not a Million :-)
I (we) got tired of players showing up 10-30 minutes late because there were 'byes' available. Tired of players calling ahead and saying they were right around the corner, so sign them up, players waiting for the draw and THEN deciding to get in,etc.
When I start a tournament at 1:00p.m., I START IT at 1:00p.m, be there.
We opened at 11:00 a.m. for FREE practice time for tournament players for three hours.
Our tournaments have always run smoothly and timely with players such as Buddy Hall, Wade Crane, Ray Martin, Richie Rich, James Roberts, Richie Orem and a long list of well known players. :-)

Just so you are aware.. There is no such thing as a 9 player tourney bracket with no byes. There has to be at least one person who gets a free pass to the second round.

Math is fun!:D

I've seen those at a Dart website but didn't like them. I'll search my computer hard-drive to see if I have save them somewhere.....

I'm well aware of that and that's why in post #6 above, I wrote this:

I'd like to thank everyone for their assistance. My wife asked me what I was up to and I explained the search for charts. She assured me that 5 or 6 years ago, I presumed that this exact problem would arise and brought home one of each sheet of brackets for all the possibilities from 8 to 31. I told her that I don't remember doing any such thing, but she wanted to BET on it, so I KNOW that she must be correct (she only makes these bets with the nuts).

She's off tomorrow and we're going to search the house for them (I'd rather get a 'regular 8-5 JOB' than have to search this house after 20 years for 'anything'....... :-)

I'll let you all know the outcome and once again thanks.

Update

The Barbarachnid (my creepy-scary, red-headed, blood-sucking, spider-wife) and I spent almost five hours today searching for the master list of tournament bracket sheets that she assured me I'd brought home 5-6 years ago, with no luck.

I told her that I doubted her memory and she asked me if I wanted to bet $20, SO I DID. Fifteen minutes later, she produced a folder containing the bracket sheets. She says that they were in the binder containing all my issues of SNAP Magazine (now, why would I have put them there)..
I think I was set up.

I did notice that every page of brackets had: ASA & the number of players in the upper right hand corner. One sheet had:
Games People Play Magazine Brkt. Shts.

I'm still missing 9,10 and 31 player sheets, but I have all the others.
