Format, heads up. 2 players ea table max.
All match times stay the same, likely done even quicker.
They could possibly be Done by 3!

How do you do yours? Cap

I do 2 formats. Both are single elimination, when everyone else and their mother is doing double elimination in my area, and often with true double elimination finals.

My first format I call "afternoon delight". It starts at NOON on a weekday, not a weekend. It's for a different crowd. Retired folk, etc. I get about 14 players. This one is fargorate medium handicapped, on bar boxes. I use a magic rack so the racks go faster. It's usually done by 3:30PM. Everyone goes home before work traffic starts.

The second format I do is in the evening, on a monday usually, that is Open. No handicaps. If Efren shows up, he can play. I do this one race to 5. It's done by 11PM. I get about 16 on this. I do it on 9' or 7', depending on the room.

On both, I say single elimination, gets you home early. And I also promote action. For those eliminated early, they can stay and get played. Double elimination = zero action, because all the tables and players are in use for the tournament.

Single you can go home early once you lose, or stay and gamble all day/night. Up to each individual what they want to do.

I also do everything is wild. No calling the 9 bs. At the player's meeting, I say to everyone, "make an effort to play at a fast pace. No slow play. If you don't know what to do, ride the 9!"

Thx.... in Fremont county here, any bar that wants to join in, Has to have two tables. Allot farmland along the Arkansas River and those guys Don't want to get home at midnight they start at 7 sharp, usually done by 10pm +-
