I am looking for a programer to build me a program to run my tournaments on my tablet. I have a program that I wrote in excel that has most of the functions I am looking for. I just cant get the formulas to work on my tablet. Any help would be great. Thanks. Jacob

I live in Belgium, playing pool for over 12 years and 've been a computer addict for over 20 years. But just recently ( about 6 months ) I took up VBA-Excel programming. I enjoy it very much.
In your thread "Tournament program for Android." I saw you mention you have your own xls-sheet with full functionality. I am interested to know what your sheet can do and how it is programmed.
For my league I developed a Excel-sheet which is a 32-player Double KO system 'till last 8, with supllementary a Single KO system for those last 8 players.
My sheet includes following functionalities :
* Manual of fully-automatic draft with seeding-possiblity
* Auto Fill-in of Bye's ( actually we call those "Walk-over" )
* Entry fee calculation
* a nice visual chart print-out on 4 standard-size pages ( players like their name big )
* Length of races adjustable for preliminaries, quarter, semi and final
* Game-sheet with automatic adjustments for length of races
* automatic passing when a Bye is your opponent
* automatic registration of start-time at starting match and auto registration of stop-time when entering final score and calculation of duration game
* semi-automatic table assignment
* Auto-save to PDF for distribution and print-out afterwards
* Auto-generated ranking with points and moneyprizes
Most of this is programmed in VBA, for some functionality I use array-formulas ( table assignment )
I've tested it now on over 10 tournaments and about the first 6 times I discovered a little flaw ( mostly a copy/paste I never altered accordingly ) to correct, and later I thought of some new functionality.
But now I'm quite satisfied and really don't know what to do next, except playing pool of course.
Can you fill me in on you xls-sheet ?
What you like, what you don't ?
How you did it ? And why ?
...
A lot of questions I hope to get an answer to. Similar questions I have posted in the Netherlands ( homeland of Niels Feijen ) and Germany ( Souquet, Ortmann, Hohmann, ... ) and led to - for example - the automatic adjustment of the races on the game-sheet.
Hope to get an answer from you and learn from it.

I have an excel program that you simply enter in a list of players - the program will randomly put the players into a 32 or 64 man bracket, put in Byes is needed, and move the players thru the winners/losers sides just by clicking which player won the match. Single or Double Elimiination as well.
It will also compute payouts based on how much money was added, how much the entry fee was and how many places you wish to pay out. The payouts are based on physics.
