Trade a cue for a nice cell phone...

My little brother needs an AT&T compatible cell phone and rather than run out and buy him one, I thought I would see if anybody had a fairly nice used one (working preferably with keyboard) that they would trade for the almost brand new Poison CYPR I listed on here a while back. I spent a little over $310 on the cue and case. He would prefer an IPhone or smart phone. Just PM me what you have please and we will go from there.

Link to cue thread.

I have a Blackberry World edition if interested.

It is set up for Verizon, but is like new with charger.

Will the Verizon version work on the AT&T system?

You can unlock any phone with a sim card to work on any network. Cost should be around $25, but google it and maybe you can do your self for free. Verizon has no sim card and will not work. If the phone has a sim card it can be unlocked to work.

Allow me to inform you, because I have a great deal of experience/knowledge pertaining to cell phones, any phone that works on verizon WILL NOT WORK on ATT and vise versa. They are two different technologies. Verizon, Altell, Cricket, Spring use CDMA phones whereas ATT, Rogers, T-Mobile uses a completely different data/voice transfer protocol called GSM. GSM phones use a simcard to identify the user whereas CDMA phones have a unique number used to activate/identify the users. So you cannot put a GSM simcard into a CDMA phone as there is no slot :)

This is a simple explanation....I won't even go into the Frequencies both GSM and CDMA carriers transmit with.

I have an ATT 8925 Tilt Windows Mobile phone I have no use for now since I moved over to Verizon. I don't think I would like to have a "pink" cue LOL but maybe we can work something out. :) Pm me if interested.

Unlocking refers to carrier unlocking which allows you to use the phone on another compatible phone network. You could unlock an ATT phone to work on T-Mobile for example but not from ATT to Verizon or vise versa.

Allow me to inform you. Verizon has a phone with a sim but it only works over seas.

Do I detect a bit of sarcasm? When originally said, by me, I did not mean anything by it except to educate. The phone your talking about, does accept a sim card, but like you said it only works oversees on their networks. They have a different radio spectrum than T-mobile or ATT. ATT works mostly on the 850 band and will allow roaming on the 1900. T-mobile is the opposite...mostly on the 1900 with roaming on the 850 band. The oversees bands are 900 and 1800.

As I expressed, earlier post was a quick explanation, and yes I was aware of the phone Verizon has that takes a simcard. I didn't want to confuse anyone or even bring it up because it wouldn't work on ATT or T-mobiles networks anyhow.

Sorry to the orignal poster for going off on a tangent, but sure he won't mind the free bump.
