Trade Mark Points by "Tex"

Hi Guys & Gals

A week or so ago one of my cues was reviewed, this came as a pleasent suprise to me. There was some discussion about my points design, which started with my first cue, circa 1981, and continues to the preasent. In fact I only just recently started making cues again. I must say the biggest reason why I'm starting again is my discovery of AZ Billiards.com.
The picture I've attached to this post is computer generated, but I think it shows more clearly the design. The picture of the cue that was posted earlier dosn't show it all that well. (Sorry Rick, no offence, just in case you catch this post.) Right now I don't have any of my own cues, I can't afford them, LOL. Any way in a couple of days I'm going to get some good pictures and post them. Thanks for listening.

Glad you're back making cues again. The computer design looks awesome! Do you have a price list yet?

Price List question for Tex Cues

Sorry, but I don't have a price list per se, as i don't have a 'Catalog line'.
I price my cues strictly on how much detail the customer wants. I will be posting my eMail address, and phone contact info, along with some real pics of my work. I will then be ready to talk to anyone who is interested.

Thanks for the response.

None taken Tex. The com gen is much clearer than my pics. I am still being surprised with what I can do with this cue on the box. The balance is incredible for me, JMHO......:D

I can't wait to see some of your future work, I like your style and nobody does points the way you do. It's good to see something different once and awhile, keep up the nice work.

Not only is his style different. His construction method is also different too.

Also Tex is a very friendly and will go a step more to help you design a cue(showing you, your cue design in simulated form before building it  ), cool!!!

Great cue.....

I bought one from Fast_&_Loose and I can tell you it is spectacular. I am going to have Tex make me another. I'm sold on these cues. just MHO...:D

A diamond shaped inlay is added to the tips of the points to make it appear that the veneers end sooner? Or, are the veneers actually cut into the side of point wood to end short of the tip? Flat-bottomed or v-groove or ????

Inquiring mind

Hi Inquiring mind!

No its not an inlay, it is an integral part of the original glue-up of the forearm.

Thanks for asking

Just traded for a 'Tex' ... the one from hustler4483...

Wow... shoots VERY nicely... I'm impressed. I look forward to seeing additional work you do :-)

I may have some repair work down he road as well... the original ivory hoppe ring was cracked and 'repaired' by proficient. We may talk about you repairing it or should I say, replacing it...

Additionally, I'd be interested to know what it was out the door with for a wrap... the white w/black spec I'm not so sure about....

But boy... she sure does shoot :-)
