I could not be more proud. both of my sons grew up playing with their dad on our in- home 9 foot table, first an Olhausen, then a Gold Crown. They both continue to enjoy the game today, in their 30s, at every opportunity. This week my older son closed on his new home and only 3 days after closing he had his self purchased Brunswick Anniversary table installed in his new home's very large finished basement.
So happy to see the tradition continue - that one day he will be sharing our love for this great game with his own children - he chose a beautiful all original Brunswick anniversary table- a fitting choice to keep all of this going for decades to come.

How do they compare structure and play wise to a GC? Can the subrails be modified the same way?

Extremely solid all hardwood construction. Wood framed slates - solid walnut rails - no veneers. One piece ball returns on either side. He had Simonis 860 installed - plays similar to a GC. No idea about sub rail modification - this table is 100% original and all numbers match on the lumber and rails.
I went north to be there for the installation - it was two men and 5 hours of work with the rail cloth installed at their workshop.

What a great choice in tables. Could not have done any better. Why did he wait until day 3 though? He better be making up those lost days.
Gold Crown I, II, III tops are interchangeable with Anniversaries.
