Howdy All;

For those of you that do or are about to for the first time. This guy does travel with firearms a great deal.
Has a lot of experience and starting at 16:30 gets into explaining what he has found works "for him".
Now remember, he's transporting guns, not pool cues, but a lot of what he talks about can and might
apply in your (whomsoever you may be), case. Give it a listen/viewing might be of help, might not. Only
you can deiced for you;

I think it's a really, really bad idea to use locks on your luggage other than those approved by the TSA. His whole video seems to be about engaging in war with the TSA. Life is too short unless you enjoy pointless battles.

That having been said, two toothpicks will get you through TSA-approved locks.

Firearms are specifically prohibited from using TSA locks. When you check a firearm, you must present it for inspection and, upon arrival, you must receive the firearm from airport personnel. I've heard of photographers throwing a gun in the case with their gear so they can actually lock it.

I used to work for UA back in the 90's and I remember working out on the ramp and seeing airline personnel get into just about any piece of luggage they wanted to. Once the dogs smelled something (and those dogs never missed a piece of luggage with a drug smell) the luggage got opened no matter what kind of lock you had on it.
