Treadway cues

In that case, I assume the last reply from Josh would have been, either something like "There is a 3 year waitlist, would you like me to put you on it?", or, "I have put you on my wait list, and will contact you when your turn comes up". And, it is good to always be the Last person to reply back, if you are a business, right?
Josh is a much better cue maker than businessman.
Dont hold it against him.

This may be just too simple but: if ordering a hi-end cue why not just buy a decent-good player to use during the wait. You can make it your back-up or sell it later. I've been dealing with cue guys so long i know what i'm getting into. If in ANY hurry buying a custom cue is probably not a good move.

Anyone who wants a cue from cuemakers with years long wait lists should come to SuperBilliardsExpo if possible. Josh Treadway, Eddie Cohen and many other well regarded cuemakers have new cues for sale on the spot. A phone call to a cuemaker right before SBE might be a way to hijack a cue meant for the show.

Yeah, but they are very expensive. His cues hit amazing though, in my experience. Does not hurt that he is / was a Pro player too.
True they're not inexpensive but they once you understand what type of stroke makes them truly shine you won't look further for another cool cue .
Once again I was undefeated at our seniors pool league where I made some cut shots that I may not of had the faith in a different cue to even try some of those shots to win my games .

Granted the pro players shoot with what cue manufacturer pays them the most , but after watching Earl play with the cue Mike built for him I was sold , yes I know I don't have the ability stroke a shot as well as Earl Strickland can and does , but I can dream and make quite a few folks locally cuss under their breath when I walk into the bar ! To me that's priceless !

No offense but Earl played just as good with Meucci's and Cuetec's. I like nice cues too but i'm under zero illusion that they play better than a good prod. cue.

I agree 100% but expensive cues are not for me I'm 73 i enjoy playing with a descent cue ,but not crazy enough to spend a lot of money on a cue that is not gonna improve shit on my playing. I know a guy in my league with a 3 thousand dollar cue cant play worth a fk good for him i guess.

Well now garczar and sciarco thank you for trying to take away any good feelings on how well I played , I'm not worried or upset b your attempts at it but I'm finding humor in it as I've learned to expect as much from both of you , just as I have in the past from people who tried the same thing but to my face .
What made it enjoyable was when I'd beat them playing 8 or 9 ball on either a bar box or a 9' table with a seemingly cheap Dufferin bar stick that a friend of mine made into a 2 piece cue , now the two of you can say something less than flattering about that I'm sure so I don't have to have a fancy custom cue to be a winner . Even if I enjoy it which is what matters to me

I agree with you i play snooker with a Dufferin green leaf talking in general i don't buy expensive cues my opinion only.

Good news, Josh emailed me back a few days ago and we had a phone call today. He let me know it’s a 2-3 year wait but he will get started on the cue right away and do it in stages. We went over some ideas and he sent me a few pictures of materials he has. Design should be decided on and he’ll start working soon!

To everyone saying how expensive customs are and how they wouldn’t wait that long, I understand. But I’m wanting something that’s a little more than just regular cue. To me they are more like functional works of art and I appreciate the craftsmanship. I don’t and haven’t owned any custom cues and I’m figuring it’s about time for me to finally make the investment and have something I’m really proud to own.

Josh is a helluva maker and and an all.around great guy you won't regret this one damn bit.

And for the record I can say the exact same things about Cody, also a helluva upcoming maker and great human being.

Both the makers are making me cues with Cody he should be starting the build in February and with Josh I still have a year of wait but should have the cue for the 2027 ICCS show.

Both makers make outstanding playing cues and not rack queens or art cues that I like to call ,"Strutting Peacocks" , yes that is a trademarked term, no you can't use it...
