I plan to travel to Vegas with my 3 piece cue I purchased from Syberts in my carry-on luggage. will I have a problem with getting it through airport security?

To us its just another pool cue.

To others? They don't see pool cues often so something such as a two/three piece stick is foreign to them. It will raise concern.

I have people aske me what is in the case? I have even showed people and they don't know.

Some people have never shot pool and if they did its a stick off the wall. An elaborate cue with stainless steel joints does make them wonder.

life would be so much easier if TSA allowed gate checks for our cues just like strollers, where the cue is checked in at departure just before you get on the plane and then returned to the owner as you deplane...

I’ve been looking for a travel 3 piece cue.
I do not see one for sale at Seyberts.
Tell me more about this cue.

problem if it doesn't go through you may miss your flight. take your chances and don't complain about the results.

Several of us here have them -- you have to have one made.

This cue is discontinued but might have just worked. Came with a case $155.
Fits in a motorcycle saddlebag

Of the tens of thousands of bags they scan every year, they most likely have seen it before.
Even if they haven't, anything longer than 7" they are required to take a secondary look.

Unless you have TSA Pre or Global Entry where you can return to baggage check and skip the line when you come back through security, which still may cost considerable time depending on the airport, don't chance it.

IMO, YMMV
