As many of you know, I have been working on my rhythm based upon reading & your indispensable clarification. Tonight, I decided to put my practice to the test of combat. After my wife fell asleep, I went off to the local bar (no other choices) & remained undefeated for about 1.5 hours until closing. Although my defeat would be childs play for the vast majority of you, I felt some sense of gratification & progress. Thank you!!!!

Ok I read your post again and realized you were talking about pool. I was confused because you were talking about rhythm and putting it to the test of "combat". I seriously didn't at first realize you were talking about pool. Anyways, good for you I suppose. :D

thanks

I am happy to hear of your success. AZ does indeed have a lot of excellent advice.

When you came home and were pulling down your drawers, did you "need a moment"?:D

In case you haven't seen that commercial, I think it is obscene!

And the really beautiful thing is that future success is built on earlier success, so you can look forward to better and better play. And you should thank yourself for being attentive enough to appreciate the advice and incorporate it into your play, only you did that.

Strange how plain english typically works best.
Philoso-speak works best in NPR - but you don't post there anymore.

There is a lot of good advice on AZ - use what works thru trial and error.

Good to hear that your game is improving. Keep working at it and you will continue to get better and better.

Be aware that once you reach a new high you often hit a plateau. Do not allow a plateau phase to discourage you. Keep chipping away and you will achieve an even higher level. If you remain aware of this then you will never need fear the doldrums produced by a plateau because you are secure in the knowledge that just a little further up the road lies a great reward for your efforts.

Thank you so much for the warning about plateaus! I'm sure that it will save me much grief.
