i have had a handful of moori tips that pop off of predator shafts glued on with CA. im not sure if it is the tips or the ferrule material, has anyone else had problems with this combination?

i did the predator and moori first, next was an ultraskin on a regular shaft, the moori failed while the ultraskin held up.

This has been covered a bunch.
A lot of guys like to prime Mooris with a thin ca
They seem to suck glue, starving the joint of glue.

Moori tips will suck up the CA glue. Put a thin layer on then wipe away the excess. Let it cure. Then, scuff both the tip and the face of the ferrule. Once done, glue the tip on.

Do not use thin viscosity CA glue to glue tips.

Ca

Remember.... CA instructions say that it is for non porus surfaces.

The porus surface of a tip can soak up the CA and starve the joint.

Sand the tip and then put on a puddle of thin CA. Let it soak in for about 30 seconds and then wipe off the excess. Hit it with kicker and lightly sand it.

Install with CA gel.

Or just stay away from Moori and use Tom's UltraSkins

Soft - Medium - Hard - Heavy Hitter/Extra Hard

Got it covered

no issues so far with a moori hard on a mcdermott g-core. And I use it both as shooter + break cue
