Can anyone give me an update on his status. I have watched several of his matches and can not understand why is isn't in the top 10. He has a beautiful stroke.

I heard he is playing golf in Florida....

Man is he ever stupid, doesn't he know he could be in a smoky pool room and broke?

I agree, I liked watching him play. He actually won the DCC 9 ball one year.

I hope he is doing well. Seemed like a great guy when I interviewed him years ago.

Troy told me in 2005 that he felt he got little to no recognition for his pool endeavors, even though he had won quite a few at that time. This was at the IPT in Orlando. If it had not been for the IPT, Troy said he'd probably give up pool.

It now looks like he did. It is the pool world's loss and Troy Frank's gain. ;) I'm sure he's better off for now, whatever he is doing, than he would be if he's stuck it out being a tournament soldier in this pool world.

Taken in 2003, Troy and John. Look at those Ultrabrite Smiles!

Troy's in FL, married and has a family now. I'm sure he feels that it is nearly impossible to raise a family in today's pool scene.

Thanks Ken for the update on Troy. I hope he is doing well but IMHO he could play with anyone in todays field. A true gentleman.
