At 2:53 p.m. on Jan. 25, International Pool Tour founder Kevin Trudeau released another e-mail to players who are still waiting on the remaining 67 percent of their payouts from the World Open 8-Ball Championship, held in September 2006.

In the latest e-mail, Trudeau promised that the rest of the prize fund would be paid out in monthly installments, starting March 1, and expressed his intention to have paid everyone off in full in six month's time. Trudeau also confirmed his earlier claim that players who entered qualifiers on the promise of a full 2007 season, will be paid back if the season is abbreviated.

In addition, Trudeau asked for responses from players, an IPT-correspondence first, wondering if they support him personally and professionally.

The full text of the e-mail is included below:

Dear IPT Players & Entrants of the 2007 Tour Card Qualifiers,

The IPT 2007 Season has still not been determined. We are still in the process of revamping our business model based on the unforeseen legislation outlawing on-line gaming in the United States. Without our major online casino sponsor, the IPT must undergo a substantial change to its business model. I would like to see the IPT make a strong comeback from this dramatic setback that we have had to deal with. The most important updates are as follows:

• Players from the 2006 World Open will continue to be paid monthly until you are paid in full. Payments will be made on the first of each month. No payment will be made February 1st. The next payment will be March 1st, 2007. The amount of each payment will be determined each month and may vary from time to time. It is our full intention to get everyone paid in full within the next six months.

• As I mentioned previously, for all those who entered 2007 Tour Card qualification tournaments, if we are not capable of fulfilling our commitments relating to the 2007 Tour, you will be refunded your enrollment fee. We plan on making an announcement on April 15, outlining the 2007 & 2008 seasons.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we deal with these challenging and unavoidable market-condition situations.

I do have a request for everyone receiving this email. I love the game of pool and I am very much committed to continuing to invest my own money and time to making the IPT a successful reality for many years to come. I need to know if you, the players, want the IPT to flourish. I need to know if I have your support. If you, the players, could care less if the IPT continues operating, and if you, the players do not support me in this endeavor, then it would be foolish of me to continue pursuing this tour. Therefore, I request that you respond to this email letting me know if you want this tour to exist and if you support me personally.

I hope that together we can build a successful tour. Thank you again for all of your encouragement, support, and patience up until this point.

Very truly yours,

Kevin Trudeau
Founder, IPT

I wonder how many players have faith and will respond...

Umm.not to get invovled.but i cant see anyone getting paid.

No payment on Feb 1st, no new income coming in. That means that logically no money enters between today and the next pay date March 1st
which means hes just stalling.

Pretty clever ploy at the end of KT's letter.

We all know KT doesn't want to continue losing money on this tour, so he wants to bail from the tour immediately. He also knows perfectly well that the vast majority of the players aren't computer/email-savy people and would probably never personally respond to his email, even if they truly want this tour to continue (which I'm sure all of them do, of course provided the players actually get paid).

So what does KT do? He asks for "support" via email, and states that he will not continue the tour if he doesn't get the "support" he needs. Absolutely brilliant!...LOL. He already planned an excuse ahead of time to stop the tour..."Well guys, I didn't get many email responses back, so I guess it 'would be foolish of me to continue pursing this tour'". That's proof he doesn't have any intention of continuing this tour.

This is what I ask each and every IPT player and qualifier. Simply respond back to KT..."I want you to continue this tour AND I want you to fully pay the players." That's all. Even if you truly do not want this tour to continue, I still think you should respond to KT giving your "support". Don't let KT blame the tour's end on the players!! Because we all know that's exactly what he's inteding to do if he gets less than 150 responses.

EDIT: Ooops. Didn't see the other thread. Guess what I said was already stated by str8poolman and sixpack. :o

I think KT will use these letters both ways.

When he wants to show that his actions have not hurt the players, he will present the positive letters. They will make him look like a hero facing ruthless criticism over minor problems by enemies outside the IPT. They will also give him an excuse to stall longer.

In the end he will use the negative letters and non responses as an excuse to end the tour and blame the players.

Just wait, I bet he does both.

replies of support?

Come on, do you really believe that even if KT received 150 e-mails (or 200, or 300), voicing support, that it makes any difference? He's gonna do what he's gonna do no matter what the players want.....Like some previous posters have already surmised, he's laying the foundation for his exit strategy...It's kinda sickening, actually.....to think that he doesn't give the pool world any credit for having any brains....I mean, has anybody counted the number of lies to date? Even after all that's been said on this forum, after all his "announcements", after the magazine articles chronicling his lies, he still comes out with another announcement of "Believe me, again I will go into my pockets to fund the IPT dream in the future"......never mind the deeds, just believe my words...(barf, barf)

KT needs to communicate with the players ALLOT, guarantee funds before each event and have the event location make a public announcement the funds have been deposited.
Let all players pay their funds to the host site and be able to pay upon arrival unless field is full.
Honesty and being open and fair to the players is whats needed and the beginning of TRUST, between the players and the IPT. The TRUST was broken and can be mended only by positive actions with one foot in front of the next.
Once someone has been lied too, it takes a LONG time for that trust too come back, for others it never will. If all funds are paid within 6 months of March 07, and a restructure of your business plan, you may be firing on all cylinders again.

IF YOU DO THAT KT, IT'S JUST A START, A BEGINNING. YOU ALSO COULD HAVE SOMEONE NEW, WITH INTEGRITY/HONESTY, REPRESENT THE IPT AND REGAIN THE PLAYERS TRUST QUICKER.

KT just sounds like another broke pool player to me!! Imagine that! Even a millioniare cant make it in the pool world! Pool ia a sport to some, a game to others. To me its a awesome hobby!! My hopes of the IPT making it have long gone.
