For ten bucks, I'd do it. It sounds like fun.
It could take a long time to play a tournament like this. At Buffalo Billiards we have a FREE handicapped 9 ball tournament every Tuesday night. It lasts about 3-4 hours and it is a race to ONE, Double Elimination. 50-64 players normally. You get the 8, give the 8 or play even. That's it...
I have to imagine it would take at least twice as long to play a tournament of this type opposite handed. Still, I can see how it could be fun. Just be prepared to go into work late the next day.

Since no ones ever tried it that I know of its hard to say.
How about race to one 8 ball 30 sec shot clock for everyone.
It's supposed to be ALL ABOUT FUN, and a great way to improve those shots you can reach easily with the other hand.
