is this the best pool I have ever seen.

I've watched many a video, but not all by any stretch. Same for streams ect.

I watched this last night and I thought good golly, good golly by damn...does this approach perfection? If not, what does?

SVB vs Pinegar...accustats.

About 50 minutes long if I remember right, good for a sunday look. Take a peek and color me wrong if you can... if you have not seen it, enjoy.

About 8 years ago i think,Shane was playing a friend of mine.Shane use to run with a gentlemen that always wore a hoodie and had short blond hair.I think it was his uncle maybe.A great guy i just cant remember his name.
He told me someday he would be a world champion and after watching him play you could see it coming.
Shane is what i would call perfect pool.

One Sunday evening bump. Hate for anyone to miss this if they have time to take a peek. A clinic imo.

I saved it... beauty. Shane would do some sick break and drop 3 balls, one of which is intentional, run out like clockwork... makes some more on the next break, plays a lock solid safe... BAM, pinegar comes roaring back with a perfect kick, locks up shane... runs out... great stuff.

If you like that, then you should really look into getting TAR's first match with SVB and Corey. Disk 4 in particular is a showcase of how obscene his game is when he is breaking well. IIRC, somebody did the accustats math, and he shot over 900 for the entire race to 100, so the whole set is worth it.

I use it to keep my head shrunk to a manageable level. Everytime I sense me getting the wild idea in my head that I play good...I go pop in that disk and watch it.

I really like SVB alot as a person/player. He dosent often talk about his game. I dont often talk about what any pro tells me. So this is a rare occasion, but Shane did comment that he was happy with how he played in that tournemnt a couple days afterwards. The scary thing is I think he is imporving and will continue to for along time. He will be the top American player for many years.

I also liked the shane vs. corey match. Not so much shane vs. mills where he seemed kind of sick for a while. I'll watch shane play anything though. I'll watch him lag for an hour, haha.

impressive

It seems like SVB has that confidence he had back in 07. Dominating performance at the USBTC, Valley Forge title, and from his demeanor at the table he will win some more titles this year for sure.....I think he is player of the year if it continues at this rate.

Shane made the pockets look like buckets the way he was firing balls in.

Stevie playing on day 2 of his match against Chris on TAR. Best pool I've ever seen. Nobody in the world beats him that day, including Shane.

Thanks for the link it was phenomenal pool playing on both parts. This is just my observation but it looks to me that everyone that comes back from the Philippines plays stronger. A prime example is Mika and SVB. I have looked at Pre Philippines Mika and Post Philippines Mika and the finish of the stroke is just a little different ((more tip up on the finish) as though the cue is back weighted). I have not studied Pre SVB and Post SVB but I will take a look at it now. Note the confidence look on their faces during their play that look says there is nothing that you can do to me here in the States that I have not seen in the Philippines. For those of you that know what I am talking about when you sense the confidence in your own game as you have just turned the corner know that look and that feeling.

When I first picked up a cue again in the Summer of 08, I bought a DVD of Alex and SVB, and the level of play was just astonishing.

Souquet v Reyes 2004 Derby City 9-Ball Finals

If you are looking for something really impressive, buy a copy of the finals of the 2004 Derby City 9-Ball event between Ralf Souquet and Efren Reyes...

Souquet double dips Reyes 7-2, 7-2 and just completely annihilates him in the process... EXTREMELY impressive...

Souquet shoots .982, .968 in the two sets...

I know it is only a race to 7, but it looked like he could have kept up that pace all day and all night...

The Shane Corey match was awesome, too bad they had to close down at the end of the first day b/c the bar was closing, I believe.

I also seem to recall in the Shane/Alex race to 100, a couple of ridiculous spurts by Alex to close out day 1 and day 2. Good breaking, good run outs, but also fantastic safeties.
