TS cue..need info

This belongs to a friend of mine. He would like some help establishing a price for this cue. The forearm is greener than it appears to be. The condition is excellent with only a very light surface scratch.
I tried to contact TS. I believe he is retired. Thanks for your help.

I dont know for sure but this seems to be one of the gold cues that he did.

I believe that the stars are gold.

I have not seen the design on the joint collar before... was this done afterwards?

I would reach out to our resident TS expert Nick Serdula for some advice on this cue.

I am no expert but long time friend of the shop.

Inlays are certainly ivory or alternative. (99% sure ivory) They appear gold due to yellowing.

Cue looks green/yelow due to the older "glue" finish that yellowed over time. This is a absolutely beautiful cue when refinished.

Joint was done by laser art techniques, a local company.


IMO 2500-3k.

Worth and what you can sell it for are 2 different things. I would say that the cue would have been in the 2500-2700 range brand new from the shop before Mike passed. I think 2k is a hard sell on this cue. I wouldnt buy it for that. It is a nice cue. You never know though. Personally, I just don't see some of the pricing some have on their TS cues. Unique, special cues I can see some of it. But others are way off as far as I am concerned. Too many f them out there. I don't see where any TS is worth more than it was when it was new. Maybe in 20 years worth more due to inflation, but not what some are asking right now. Good luck in whatever your friend does.

Too many?? How many more of BBs or Ginas? 10,200, 1000? Cant say for sure. But i can sure tell you how many more Scruggs there are going to be. -0_!

You show me a heavily inlaid scruggs for 2k or less. I am a buyer
 
It has 12 inlays. And as far as how many, there are 5000 TS cues out there. They are easy to find. Start a thread asking for one and you will have 100 emails in a week. If you want to buy for 2k, then buy it. Guy asked opinion. I gave him mine. They are nice cues that play well. I played TS cues for a long time. But to compare them to BB or Gina is off. Nowhere near the numbers. I can say for sure that there won't be 1000 more of either of these.

great cue if it had 2 shafts and was refinished, i would put a retail of about 2900 the inlay are holly!
