Tube Case....size matters......

Obviously, it's for storage. Just tried it out. Works fine! :thumbup:
Gonna make some kind of lining for it at some point so I can store cues in it without the cases, but even as it is for ten bucks I think it's a slam dunk!
It does have a very good foam padding on the bottom and inside the lid already though.

Yup, I figured out what it was for!
It was for a portable display, like you would use at a trade show. It was apparently a roll up kind of thing with a light frame of some sort.
This is the brand:

It was empty except for the padding though, so for me it's just fine for vertical cue storage. It's actually pretty darned sturdy in spite of being so light. I mean, it was made for travel after all, so it was intended to be strong and light.
I have another large case that I use for storage as well, but I really needed another one.
Of course....it could always be used for your average tactical nuke I guess....if you have that sort of thing laying around.....

That's my case and it works GREAT!
John and I came up with this design based on sleeves of the butterfly case interiors. I wanted to be able to quick change cues from the dealer case into the butterfly case for easy carry.
It's honestly an excellent idea and I am glad to hear it is working well for you.
Mine is obviously not as portable because of the size, but it is light enough and strong enough to move relatively easily if filled with cues.
I think it's just perfect for storage and occasional transport.
I remember seeing a deal at the same flea market. One seller had several fold up golf caddy things. Basically you strap a golf bag to a lightweight aluminum dolly with a couple of wheels and a handle. Something like that would make my tube very easy to move around. There was one seller that had very simple ones, used and cheap, that looked like they would work great. And they fold up small when not in use.
Next time I am there I will be on the hunt for such a thing. I figure I'll try to find one for five bucks. I already looked at them new online and they were way too expensive, but at the flea market I can find one dirt cheap I am sure.

I've seen the prices on those things....I need a flea market special.....if you got a flea market special we can talk.....
But I have seen the prices new....and I can buy several $35.00 pool cues for that money......and still have change for cheap beer......and maybe a go with Juanita......in Tijuana........
