A friend is moving to Tucson in a couple weeks and was wondering where to play.
She is still learning but really wants to get better. She plays local tournaments, for fun or in the APA.
If anyone has any information for her it will be greatly appreciated.
Also if anyone knows of team in the APA that may need a 5 in both
8 and 9 ball let me know. She is solid in both ratings and will get better for sure.

No worries with this one. She doesnt do drugs and rarely if ever has a beer(just one). Good honest person.

thanks

pockets or main street would be my guess. hopefully one of the tucson peeps will chime in with the directions.

Main St. Billiards

I think Main St. has more APA leagues.
Pockets has the best tables.
Clicks has the most 1 pocket action.

Hope this can get her started. Also, welcome to Tucson.

Where she lives

Tucson is really spread out, so where she lives and works may figure into where she may want to play.

Thanks for the replys and information. Hopefully she will find some nice people to play with somewhere in Tucson.
She likes to play alot. Do any of the rooms there offer a monthly rate?

I don't beleive Main St. offers any monthly rate. I know Pockets offers a monthly rate of $100. It might be $85 I'm not sure. This allows you to play 7 days a week from 11AM until 6PM.
I don't know about Click's, it's on the west side of town.

You guys are killing me, I visited Tucson when I was you and I have wanted to move to AZ ever since!

He's right....

She needs to stay away from the west, and north sides of Tucson if she don't like to drive. Takes me about 45 min. to drive to play pool. Each way....

FWIW, I was in Tucson for a few months for work a few years ago and played at Main St and then at Clicks. Main St was not bad, had a bunch of tables, etc. For whatever reason though I absolutely loved Clicks and it was there that actually got me back into playing pool more seriously and joining leagues and such back in NJ. As the others have said though Tucson is a very big city, but I was staying at the Hilton on the east side of town and still drove to Clicks because I liked it that much.
