Tuesday or Sunday ???

I voted Sunday, but I'd personally prefer it a bit earlier (like 3pm). Also, I'd rather the jackpot be optional or eliminated, since it's not a big draw for me.
 
I like both of your thoughts!

I like Tuesdays at 8pm and the race 4/3. Sometimes I have league on Tuesday nights but it is rotational, so some Tuesdays I play, some Tuesdays, I don't.

I also like your Sunday option, only maybe earlier 3 or 4pm. I know Billiard Den has a tournament on Sunday--not sure of the time. I know 777 Club has a tournament on Sunday, barbox, I think around 2ish, but it is most APA'ers. I also know Austin Avenue in Plano has a Sunday night tournament at 7pm.

We're on the same page Samiel. I too would like it earlier as Samiel suggested. And I too am not a fan of the jackpot, especially when it's around 15% of the entry fee that could be going to the purse.

Zach, so the races for everyone would be 4W/3L and for Chen, Robert, etc. would be 5W/4L?

BTW, the Austin Ave tournament starts at 8:00 on Thursdays and Sundays. So if the Sunday Diamonds tournament started at 2 or 3, people could play both.

I guess if you were going to discontinue the break contest, one idea would be to use it as an extra "house add," say $25 - $50 per tournament. At least it would last 10 - 20 tournaments and might possible help to get the field size growing again. Or if you were to still have the contest then maybe have as an option as Samiel suggested.

Another question. What do think the house add would be based on your proposed format of 4W/3L for everyone and 5W/4L for Masters like Chen, Robert, Gordy, David G.?
 
I think Zach meant that the A players would have to win one more game, i.e. 5-4/4-3.
 
Guys and Gals some people are wanting to play this Sunday so Spread the word please and if your coming let me know by tomorrow morning on here so I can make my final decision about this week ..

I won't be able to make this Sunday since I'm home sick, but next Sunday should be fine for me.
 
I voted for Sunday, but mostly because I work nights during the week. Weekends are the only time I have to play tournaments.
 
Not sure about this Sunday, but just saw this post....like the amount and like Sunday afternoons, good call man.....if this is weekly, I'm down for a couple of Sunday's a month....good idea....
