I took a look at the tunica website http://www.southernclassictournament.com/

The schedule is posted for some events
http://www.southernclassictournament.com/EVENTSCHEDULE/tabid/211/Default.aspx

As expected, its following the derbycityclassic timing of banks followed by 1p and then nineball. The site lists this as well:

9-Ball
July 23-25

Men’s Senior (age 55+): $1,000 Guaranteed 1st Place in each game with 32 players
Women’s Open: $500 Guaranteed 1st Place in each game with 16 players

I went to the http://www.ctsondemand.com/ site to sweat the details but there is nothing there. Does anyone have the details on the CTS open? Is this the first of the amateur events?

Previously I read that there was going to be a BCAPL tourny for league players the first part of the week and then an APA near the end of the week as well as a TAP event somewhere in there too.

i do not know about bcapl being involved, but i do know napa is being held the 20th-23rd and apa is 27th-29th.

there is another thread with the napa info. it also gives tou a contact # for more info. check with jeremy aka memphis bullfrog on here. he will be helping run the napa tourney in tunica. it will be open to all amateures, you will have to show id and proof of your handicap in what league you play in. bcapl, tap , vnea , or whatever.

for those who are not familiar with napa it is a call your pocket league with races to your handicap.

being a member of both leagues i will be playing both weekends.

i already have an apa team lined up and am currently forming a team for napa.

hope to meet some of you fellow az'ers there.

CSI is holding events at Tunica.
All our events are singles.
Also junior events.

NAPA is doing team events.

Both are offering women singles and mini's.

We will try to get along and create a lot of pool for everyone.

Bad Boys Billiard Productions - Ric Jones - will be running most of these events.

Watch for press releases etc. The event is still 3 months away. We will have more info at our Nationals in Vegas in 3 weeks.

The only league I'm a member of is the APPA (Arkansas Pool Player Association).

Would they be able to figure out my handicap? Would I be able to play in the tournaments without having to join the leagues mentioned above? None of those leagues are anywhere near me. It would be impossible to play in them.

look in the tournament forum for the napa tunica tourney thread. they have a flyer on there with an e mail address and a phone #. i am sure jeremy or bobby can answer your questions.

yes you can play in the napa tournaments without being a member but you will have to show your id and proof of your handicap in the league you play in.

hope to meet you there.

We will be making arrangemnets for anyone to play in our events.

Things are still in the planning stages and more info will be coming - probably around early June.

Wish I could help more but we are up to our butts in getting ready for the Nationals in Vegas May 9-20.

But, there will be a place for everyone.

Bad Boys will be running both the BCAPL/CSI and the NAPA events so things will be coordinated.

You are more than welcome to play!! I used to play APPA and was on the board for a couple of years too. I am very familiar with the handicap system and will have no problem converting it. Come on down and play and bring ALL your friends.

The only league I've played in is Missouri 8ball will I be able to play the minis and will there be mini's the whole event or just until the 22nd

between napa, csi, and apa i believe they will be holding mimis the entire week on the bar tables. i am not sure if any will be held on the 9 footers.
