Mike Zuglan's Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour is proud to announce the $25,000 added Turning Stone Classic XI 9-Ball Open.

The tournament will take place on Thursday, August 14th thru Sunday, August 17th, 2008 in the beautiful and spacious Event Center at the Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY .

The format will be race to 9, double elimination (finals one race to 13) and will be played on Diamond Smart Tables with Simonis Cloth.

The entry fee for this event will be $150 to any current 2007-2008 tour member and $200 to all others.

This $25,000 added event will surely fill fast, is limited to the first 128 paid entries and requires a pre-entry so you MUST contact Mike Zuglan immediately as he has already begun to accept entries.

Remember, the previous ten Turning Stone events were filled to capacity with many players being "shut out" so enter early!

The Turning Stone is a non-alcohol serving casino which means you only need to be 18 to gamble on the casino floor. All ages are welcome in the Event Center and spectator admission is FREE.

I've been to a couple of the turning stone events. I noticed that there weren't as many vendors at the last event. Is there any information on the vendors going yet? Before the last event there was a thread that talked about who was already registered. Will there be another list, and when will it be put on this thread? Over all I love my time at turning stone. Great players, great tables, and great people in attendence. I look forward to going this year.

Some billiard supply vendors including Jim Six of Jim's Pool Supplies and Harvey of Syracuse, NY will be on hand displaying their products..., longtime Joss Tour sponsor Mike Webb of Webb Custom Cues will be set-up at Turning Stone for all of your cue maintenance & repair needs.

Yes, a player list will be posted sometime soon.., I spoke to Mike Zuglan today and he said that he had over 70 paid entries to date.., Players call daily and he receives checks in the mail just about everyday.., The field is limited to the first 128 paid and I would think that it won't be long before he has another full field with a waiting list.

Turning Stone Classic XI

All players competing in this event will receive a substantial discount on hotel rooms at Turning Stone.., however, this "block" of rooms will only be held for so long before they go back into circulation for other guests at the regular price which is another reason to enter early.

This event will requires a pre-entry so you MUST contact Mike Zuglan immediately as he has already begun to accept entries and it's filling fast!

Mika Immonen - Turning Stone Classic XI

Former World Champion Mika Immonen has joined the list of confirmed players competing in the upcoming Turning Stone Classic XI event.., Mika placed 1st at the Admiral World Pool Championships in Cardiff, Wales in 2001..., Mika won the first Turning Stone Classic event held in 2000, was a runner-up to Charlie Williams in the Turning Stone Classic III event in 2001 and logged several other high finishes at Turning Stone.., To enter or for more information on this event contact Mike Zuglan at (518) 356-7163 or email mike@joss9balltour.com .

I received an e-mail from "someone in the know," but I thought I would post it in this thread because it is noteworthy.

This tournament will be a ranked tournament in the new BCA ranking system. So you get points for competing in this event. The higher you finish, the more ranking points you get.

I guess these ranking points will be of benefit down the road, especially to pro players. These BCA ranking points apply to men and women as well.

Just an FYI I thought I would share! :)
