Two Different Shots, Yet the Same

Hey Anthony,

Post a video of you making the 5 shots I posted using ghost ball. It has to be a continuous video so try as often as you like and I will do the same with Pro One. Let's see who makes the shots with the least misses. 5/5 would be solid IMO.

Perhaps play some music so we know the video is continuous :)

You up for a friendly challenge?

Im about ready to join the duckie camp.....:thumbup:

Not sure what your 5 shots are.

Here they are...all from same starting location.

The 2 ball in the OP.

Here are three other options for the shot in question using Pro One visuals.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CeX9NZmvahw&feature=youtu.be

C right - right corner
B right - 3 rails in the corner
A left - left corner
A right - 1 rail back to the left
C left - 1 rail back to the right

Also B left is interchangeable with C right to the right corner.
B right is interchangeable with A left to the left corner.

Of course this is subject to Stan's approval but I am pretty sure.

The perceptions are objective. From the visual point from where a perception is seen is what determines a fixed cue ball. From there a 1/2 tip pivot makes the shot.

In other words, the visuals for everyone yield the same offset for all shots when done correctly.

One person does not have a 1/3 tip offset while others have 3/4 tip offsets unless they're seeing incorrectly.

It is best to use your 2 EYES to get your perceptions even though many, many
CTE perceptions are picked up with one eye, but it's your 2 eyes that fix the cue ball.

Ok so what I gather from this post, is that everyone should share the same eye perceptions for a given shot, as they are objective and are necessary to find the "fixed cueball". And that would be for right-handers. Once you had tested over the phone to me a shot that the right eye was picking up, when you switch to left-hand, the left-eye began picking up.

Yes, I agree exactly with what you you said.

What matters, though, is that for each shot there is one CTE PRO ONE perception that fixes the CB to make the shot with a 1/2 tip pivot.

The 3 rails is to the other corner...let me know if we have a challenge. I will do it tonight. Also willing to put a small friendly wager on it as well :)

What do you use? It can't be Pro One because you have identified entirely too many flaws with it :)

When I try the 3 rail on a 7 footer the CB and OB consistently collide near the 2nd rail.

I have said this before on here. I use a fractional system on a shot to determine what alignment to use if needed. Example: I limit an inside A-C to half ball hit. I can also stretch out all the alignments when I want to. I move on a ARC behind a shot. I can break out of the geometry of the system but still use the system to shoot at a specific spot on the table. I do not limit 1/8 adjustment shots to just balls that are very close to each other. I have said many times how important it is to find the correct approach to a shot.

Anythony every thing you are bringing up now has been discussed a couple years ago. Dr dave posted up pretty much the same picture you did. Your just renewing old discussions with new people.

Leafs07 this is a little different then Dr Daves diagram.(much wider angle)You guys are using some visual sweep thing to cover your butts,(kidding)thats all rite.
Maybe I should go back and ck the answers from Dr Daves diagram, wonder how it compares to this diagram.Think I'll pass:)
I've caused to much trouble already.

your question was answered in a couple of my posts, but your understanding of the system is limited and your not able to figure out the answer... It also has nothing to do with the sweeps. I mean no offence to you either and I have said many time cte uses may know how to apply the system but they dont know how it works, I have said this for a couple years now.

Again I will say, the exactness of the system is meaningless :)

It is taught as a center pocket system and then we have this post.(op)
People should have questions. The same shot???
Only thing thats comes from this, is how mysterious it is.:)

I guess you guys are rite,im clueless on pro1.

Make all 5 shots in a single video - post it. Let's see who does it with the least number of misses. Try as often as you wish but all 5 shots must be in a single continuous video.

Best you could do is 5/5 - I will try tonight and post.

Do you have a table at home - if so, post your results tonight.

Gerry

Anthony - we on?

Is there a wager?

5 consecutive shots must be made.

Yes....do scratches count? My only stipulation is that you do it on a 4 1/2 x 9.Not doing it for nothing :),but the wagers up to you.
You can pm me if you like.

I will try to get to it sometime tonight also,(hopefully)working rite now.

Anthony.

Ok. I have a 9 footer. Scratch is no good.

As for wager - 50? PayPal?

Has to be posted by midnight.

Sound fair?

If you go 5/5 you can't lose.
