I don’t think the scratches were all unlucky. Don’t recall seeing Capito scratch on the break at all.
 
EST (Eastern Standard Time) used to always be the standard on what time was posted for a program because the vast majority of viewers were in that time zone.
Then anyone else figured out the difference according to the time zone in where they lived.
It made it simple.

Now you have to find out what Time Zone they are posting first and then figure out yours.
Stupid.

    • Central Time Zone: Holds about 29% to 33% of the population.
    • Pacific Time Zone: Holds about 14% to 16% of the population.
    • Mountain Time Zone: Holds about 5% to 7% of the population.
    • Alaska and Hawaii Time Zones: Hold less than 1% combined

That sucked and would be confusing.

The failure to display the time zone or even mention it on the page is a failure of the website. The whole thing could use a redesign.

Any competent web developer can show the time in your time zone depending on your location (VPN notwithstanding). It's 2026, not 1994.

The website is very clunky in general, I don't get why the bracket requires a separate login from the video service.

Their Website is god-awful. The user experience is terrible, with too much clicking around and searching the menu to find basic info and functions.

On another note, I'm taking FSR, and I think it will be by a few games (something like 13-10).
 
I'll take Capito for $20 if anyone wants a friendly wager. Not sure if that's allowed in the forum so I apologize in advance. My feedback is 100% positive so I'm good for it. Never bet on a match before, where do y'all even go to bet? Private messages?

Yeah and no more multi view.

Predator's website + viewing experience is way better IMO, despite being free.
 
Does anyone know who the ESPN2 announcers are going to be? I'd like to think it'd be Scott, Karl & Jeremy, but with TV you never know.

And if after all the inevitable bloviated introductions and cuts for commercials, the match goes past its allotted 3 hour segment, will it be treated like a normal sporting event, or will we get a repeat of the Heidi game?

I'm just glad we'll have WNT as a backup.

I get what you are saying, but it is interesting how much variability there is in personal preference. Even on these tables, some players prefer quite heavy cues- for example, I noticed SVB and Shaw have gone back to shooting with full extensions on their cues again and Eklent Kaci never stopped using one- their cues must weigh 22 ounces minimum.

I've always preferred heavier cues- I think it probably derives from when I first started playing- the bar cues were mostly 20-21 ounces and heavier cues have always felt most comfortable for me ever since.

I wonder if Joe Rogan will make a guest appearance again.

Hopefully if he does they tell him ahead of time to stick to the action on the table rather than complaining about the breaking rules and the 4 ball color-need to focus on positivity as this is the first time in a long while that ESPN is broadcasting live action pool.

Most of the benefit is perception. A huge problem for players is forcing the cue through the ball, for many it's difficult to avoid. A heavier cue makes you feel more confident that the weight of the cue WILL do the work and can prevent that last minute gripping and forcing of the cue through the ball.
