U.S. OPEN 2026, Frisco, Texas, August 25-30

The grey cloth is a poor choice, as are the new ball colors. The two, four and five ball are not easy to distinguish on TV and get confused with other balls. MR has in the process made watching pool less appealing.

I agree. I've watched Heyball a number of times, and the video quality is second to none. You can easily distinguish all the balls. I wish everyone adopted the same system.

Well, skids happen, rolls happen. It just seems like some players would prefer matches be held in humidity and climate controlled clean rooms with perhaps a ref to clean the cue ball between each shot.

At what point is the line between valid expectations and peacock prima donna expectations? I’m sure many of us remember backed napped cloth, pool rooms without AC with temps and humidity playing havoc with cloth and rails that were liberally coated with talcum powder from players trying to cope with humidity & balls that’s weren’t always pristine clean and cubes of Masters all over the rails.

Yet somehow 100+ ball runners were fairly common and we dealt with conditions and it made us well rounded mentally tough players. I guess I’m just a dinosaur but it all seems to be becoming a bit prissy to me. Players dog it and reach for the excuse file instead of just owning it and focusing on making the most of their next opportunity.

Stuff happens and we all should be used to it, accept it, and wait for our next shot.

Balls skid, tables roll off, rails on the same table play differently, pockets fail to accept a perfectly hit shot, bad calls from a ref.

Ca-ca happens and pros should know that and not whine about any of it.

the master of ceremony... what the fu... is this pool or wrestlemania?

They are trying to make a tv show that people will watch. You need more then hard core pool players if you want to get ratings and make this work

These may be some of the most boring US Open matches I have ever seen (Table 4).

Tables suck, balls suck, and the level of play that I have seen so far sucks.
It’s the first rounds lol that’s what happens in an open tournament anyone can plan in.

Using their actual Fargos, you can see that Fargo predicts a player of Manny’s speed to beat a player of Sky’s speed 1 in 10 times in a race to 9.

Ability isn't static

Anybody want to give those odds on the money we can gamble for years.

Any way to get the complete scoring bracket for this "Open" event without the need for a Matchroom login?
That's the only way I can find. Matchroom login is free and doesn't take but a minute to get.
Is it stupid that it's a separate website/account than wnttv? Yes, it is. A minor inconvenience until I remember my passwords save my passwords. Watching tables while also being to look at the scores is great.

I do wish they'd implement being able to watch more than 1 stream inside a window/tab. Even with having PiP I can't open a new tab to watch something else, which seems like a real stupid idea to even have that "feature" in there. Small caveat is watching the YT stream at the same time but that isn't yet where the interesting matches are.
