He definitely seems to have the break dialed in moreso that Francisco.
Maybe trying to keep the Middle Eastern players at ease. It just stood out to me and they were ‘geared up’. It’s not cheap to hire them on the clock on duty.
Is it something to do with guns?
Wonder if it could be related to Rogan? He’s a bit of polarizing figure with a huge profile.

I don't know about guns. Embassy Suites has a no open carry policy but concealed handguns are allowed on the premises. Though I don't know what MR's policy is on weapons for the duration of the event.

I wouldn't mess with Rogan unless I want to get kicked so hard my stomach comes out like a plug.
Doesn’t seem to have anything to do with Joe Rogan. This was the same security as it was yesterday as it was today. They’re not checking anything. They haven’t asked anybody anything. They literally are just standing there having a good time and I wasn’t kidding when I said that their biggest job seems to be to keep people from coming into the arena area in the middle of the game, which is usually staff members that do that. I think if you were here, you agree with me that there’s no way that has anything to do with Joe Rogan. Because Joe freely roams around without anybody next to him, and the police sit in the hallways pretty far away from him. It feels like they’re doing the same security job as normal matchroom events staffers.
There are at least six of them at times. Very strange.
I wish someone would ask and report on it.
Like I said, it’s not cheap to do that and I know Matchroom would be the ones paying for it.
Emily would be the one to ask.

Since Freddie has shot down my Rogan theory, here is another one. Some cities (or maybe its the venue) have regulations in place for certain types of events (such as sporting events or concerts) requiring that the organizer hire off duty police officers for security.
I am with this, G. It’s probably the same group of officers that are for the PD security detail for Comerica (right next door). For the rest of us… We’ve been in shadier areas. Like the Executive in Louisville!
Everything suggests this is a local city thing as part of the permit. Because these guys are wearing flack jackets, but they’re not doing any questioning or anything like that. It has to be a city ordinance or a city permit thing.
