U.S. Open 9 Ball Championship

I'm here at the event now, and the brackets have just been posted. There are some mean match ups coming our way. Archer will play Orchollo in the second round if they both win, and Shane plays Dechaine in round 1, followed by Lo Li Wen in round 2 if both players advance. Should be interesting.

On another note, I just ate dinner with Justin and Shane, and Alex Pagulayan was with us beforehand. It seems the Lion is not only confirmed to play in the event, but also eager to get started. His bracket is looking soft (if theres such a thing at the Open), so hopefully he'll have a chance to get comfortable on the table in the early rounds.

I'm leaving now to head to Q Masters. The place will be packed with world beaters.

Nice update. We'll be counting on you to provide additional insider details of the low-down behind the scenes info but will let you slide on the Mika stuff. j/k, bring it on. AND THANKS!

None of my friends are playing sadly, because of a major arabian tournament tour will be going on the same date as the US Open, one of the big fellas decided the date and forgot all about the US Open, which is stupid if you ask me. Not only my country but most arabian countries and players are not coming to the US Open because of that tournament that will be going on tomorrow in Qatar.

That really sucks. The big fellas need to pay more attention to this LONG-RUNNING world class event. It's great that to see that you are still supporting the event by purchasing the whole Live Stream.

Do you still need to know some stuff about times and times zones? If so, I will try to help.

Steve,

Brackets are posted here. http://usopen.azbilliards.com/

There are going to be some interesting first matches. Hall of Fame nominee Francisco Bustamante draws Shawn Putnam. Shane Van Boening plays Mike Dechaine.

Nice representation of women from the New York area with Smiley, Jennifer Barretta, Borana, and Inside Pool cover girl Neslihan Gurel.

Those matchups makes one wonder on how the seeding is handled there.

Not trying to hijack my own thread but I see that there an additional big fella (maybe new) is playing in the Asian tournament in November- Prince Mutadi Shhb of Brunei. Overall, that's got to be good for pool. I've not seen Prince Mutadi's name before in pool but may have just missed it.

Why is Raj aiming at Scott's bollocks? ;-)

The commentary is great, but personally I would really really love to listen to Billy incardona in the booth, Really he makes the GAME so exciting for me. when he commentary the viewing of the match will be at different level, Put Grady mathews with him and you will remind me of the 90's.
