U.S Team Message To The Public

Press coverage on pool outside AZ...

OK, hmmm, the billiard magazines (with a subscriber base made up of AZ members) .. a couple of other pool forums that are still viable (with participation from the usual suspects)... and.... and...

Are you expecting to see their news releases in SI? On ESPN? ESPN2? CNN? The New York Times? The Washington Post? Wall Street Journal? Comedy Central?

Lou Figueroa
this is it, baby

You are probably right but they still don't care about the AZ Forums.

When I learned that CW was being considered to be team captian, I contacted Luke Riches of Matchroom Sports.
According to Luke he read all the lies, racial and hateful comments, on AZ Billiards.
He loves CW and will not believe, anyone on the AZ Forum.

Later when CW was chosen, he told me too bad but CW was his man, and be prepared to be astonished when team USA won.

I will say this about Mr. Luke Riches, he answered every email I sent him, at least 10.

CW has got to be greatest con artist of all time.
He went into a girls room got naked and beat the system.
Yes, CW knows how to play the game, look how he took over the ABP, and Match Room Sports.

So, this must be Charlie's house ?
J/K feds, just talking pool here !:(

Please read the press release from Luke Riches of Matchroom, that's on the Home page of AZ. I've worked with Luke for many years now and he is a great guy to work with. He's a straight shooter that gives direct answers to many of your questions. Luke does not beat around the bush and does not play politics. He will tell it exactly like it is.

That said, the Mosconi Cup remains one of the premier events in the pool world, as does the other offerings from Matchroom - The World Pool Masters and the World Cup of Pool. I am thankful for the role they play on the International pool scene. Matchroom sets the standard that other promotional entities must try to live up to when producing billiard events. They may well be the most professional and well run events that I am involved in.

True, it was a bad loss this year for Team USA, one of their worst ever. Does this mean that the Mosconi Cup is diminished in any way? No it does not! It just means that the American players must rededicate themselves to their sport and work harder in the future to be better players. Take a look at the European team. They are dedicated athletes, most of them with regular work-out routines. I wish I could say the same for the American players. A game of tennis one morning is not going to cut it I'm afraid.

If we had five players with the work ethic and single mindedness of Shane Van Boening, all would be well in American pool. We need to develop more players like him to regain our position as a world power on the pool scene.

That's the gospel Jay. And if we had dozens of SVB's promoters would be more well picked too !

How in da heck did you tip toe around that huge elephant in the room, Jay??

Well done, sir!!

Russ

Not an elephant, it's a monkey and he is sleeping !
