Ugly old stick needs I.D.'d

Got a stick I wonder if anyone can Identify. The joint is piloted brass with a pointed brass pin. There is a brass insert in the shaft.There are fourpoints
( rosewood , I think) into straight maple. No veneers. The wrap is alternating blue and black horizontal stripes. I'm not sure of the material. The butt cap is made up of from the top : black ring, window ring with pinkish gold foil, yellow ring, black ring, yellow ring, window ring with pinkish gold foil, black ring. I have attached photos. Sure would like some ideas.

it looks like a ramin wood Chinese thing from the 60's or 70's. Dunno but thats my guess. it aint a Szam.

Might be one of those diamonds in the rough you picked up there, but what the hell, I would have passed on it to avoid having to carry it.
But that is just me currently judging a CUE by it's cover.

I had a dozen of those ...

laying around and finally used them for kindling wood last winter during a cold snap ... Seriously, you just MAY have something worth a couple of bucks in "restored condition" ... The PIN looks like an old Adam ... ?? Good Luck

Fatboy nailed the era 60s - early 70s.

It is a house cue 'conversion' - think poor man's Palmer.
There were a ton of them in those days.

It looks to be a cheap, light weight house cue, that could be
Maple. I can't tell from your pix. The points are not rosewood,
that much I'm sure of.

Is there any way you can determine if the butt is Maple or Ramin?
FWIW - I can't tell for sure from your pix, but it looks to me
like both the shaft and butt have the 'cell trace' that indicates
hard maple - not Ramin wood. Ramin would mean very cheap import.

If it is maple - it's likely an entry level American production cue.
The 'pointy' pin and bumble bee wrap<Dacron, BTW> make me lean toward
Viking or Rich - could even be an Adam, or just some random cue guy
from parts unknown.
