Ultimate 10 Ball Championships BCA, WBPA - Frisco,TX - $50,000 Added 4/21-4/24

Bump

A little over a month away...If you are attending or participating don't forget you have to make your reservations by April first to get the special rate.

Good Stuff

This sounds like a great event. A big shot in the arm for TX Pool having this event here.

You don't normally see a list of players like this in TX.

Either play or go and watch but the TX pool community needs to support this whatever way possible if you want to see TX grow as an attractive location for big tournaments.

I'm sure Zach will run an outstanding event.

Are you starting something again? Are you the same one that said we wouldn't get more players than the Seminole Event? Seriously man just drop it with the negative comments..This is the best thing that has ever happened for North Texas pool...And eventually World Wide with everyone's support..

I asked a legitimate question that is being mentioned around some of the girls, just because you dont like it dont mean I'm starting anything with you, or that it does not need to be answered by SOMEONE that may know whats going on.

Seeding

Top 16 women will be seeded in every 4th of the bracket and top 32 men. However the seeded spots will be drawn in to instead of being put in a particular order.

88 Men and 52 Women so far!!

Remember April 1st is the hotel special deadline..Make you reservations. All non local players must stay at the hotel. If you don't stay at the hotel you will not play..You can be the best in the world, but you're still staying at the hotel.

So awesome!!!

I am so excited about this pool tournament. Not only because it is literally right in my backyard, but because North Texas is finally going to get to see some action! AND, us females that don't normally play on the pro tour, get to play against the Pro's for only a buck fifty! That in itself is awesome! :)

I read over the rules and such and I really like the format. This is the first I have heard about seeding, but I don't really care. I absolutely love the fact that there will be a referee at every table! This event is going to be super professional! I am positive it will be a great success!

Not to mention, there is SO MUCH stuff to do in the surrounding area, and even within walking distance! Frisco is a beautiful place! I can't wait for everyone who hasn't been here to see it! :)

My thanks go out to all involved in making this event happen! I hope we can see tournaments like this in North Texas more often.

Peace,
Amanda :)

I would like to see seeding (even though it wasn't mentioned anywhere in this thread except by JJoe).

I would also like to see a players auction with a blind sold for each 16 man bracket. Prolly won't happen.

What's really great about this event is the money will be in escrow. Everyone gets paid! Secondly Badi is planning on doing 5 of these total with each of the five being better than the last. How strong is that??

I have been very impressed with Badi and his level of professionalism regarding this event. This is definitely a huge positive step for pool.

See you there!

Ray

You would like to see seeding? Thats whats wrong with the WPBA now.. They dont deserve to be seeded and get say an easy match, they are noone special. They need to draw blind and win the tourney just like anyone else would in any other event. Womens pool is bad everywhere because they think they deserve something free.

I dont think the seeding part is coming from the people running this event either, so dont take offense. I think it comes entirely from the Wpba.

I actually love the idea of a blind draw. I wish it was like that in EVERY tournament!!!

That said, I'm still glad I can play in this event.

You deserve a blind draw as well.....Why you should u have a chance to draw allison or karen corr, but yet allison has no chance to draw karen and so on..........You pay the same entry fee right? lol

I totally agree with you, but that's just not how it's going to done so I will deal with the draw I get. I'm not scared... lol

Whether I think this is right or not is irrelevant - as I am not planning on playing in any other pro events - so it doesn't really matter to me. I don't like politics in pool, much less anywhere else, which is one reason I don't try to play on tour.

I am just glad that this is going down in my backyard and am thankful thay someone like Badi is trying give pool a jumpstart for the better... :)

You have to wear a long sleeved shirt and a vest??!! Does that go the same for the women? Really? Long sleeves and vests. I understand this wanting to look professional, but that seems weird to me. Please let me know the women's dress code. That may change my mind about going. I'm not a good pool player, but I don't mind coming to donate and get a chance to play, but I don't think I want to go out sporting long-sleeves and a vest for several days for the privilege of doing it, lol...:p

Hey hon - you can find all the information you need via this website:

The women do not have to wear long sleeve shirts and a vest! Thank goodness! LOL! :)

Peace,

Thanks

I appreciate it and guys keep this in mind. This is a professional event. Pool has been drug down in to the slums for to long. We will res-erect it again and make the game respectful again. Every little bit helps.

Let's just put it this way, If Ultimate 10 Ball is successful it will more than triple the total amount of prize money in professional billiards every year. From a player's stand point I would be all for that aspect alone.

k

I called the hotel and I did a test run through the link and reserved a room. It worked for me.. I guess try again and if it doesn't work call the hotel and reserve your room

Shane is on the list of players...but he didn't mention coming to Dallas in the TAR interview after the Earl match... what's up with that??

Hmmm..

Shane is on the list of players...but he didn't mention coming to Dallas in the TAR interview after the Earl match... what's up with that??

As far as I know he will be there. He has a free room, entry, and plane ticket to use. Badi gave free trips to the top 3 players from last years event. He announced it when he was handing out the medals at last years event.

As for everything else we now have 93 men signed up and 55 women. If you had tried to make a reservation at the hotel and couldn't please try again. There was a small problem on their end which should be fixed now guys..

Thanks,

Zach
