Ultimate 10 Ball NOT FULL!!! 75,000 ADDED

This is why we need to ADD more "lucks" to the game, instead of TAKING away "lucks" from the game.

Pool is such a skillful game that even top pros such as the likes of the Chris Bartrams, the Rob Saezs, the CJ Wileys have a very slim shot at winning a major event - even with such a big added prize money as this tournament - that it doesn't make sense to go due to expenses.

If more "lucks" are added where a short stop (or A players) can "get lucky", tournaments with huge added moneys such as this one would definitely filled up in no time.

So what do u suggest roll dice sfter each game is won to see if the winner gets 2-12 points added to their match score the play first to 100 points. That would help players who need a little luck but it might backfire. I have seen that alex p playing backgammon. He gets a good roll quite a bit kinda like he gets those good rolls with the cue ball

Pool needs sponsors and exposure more than anything and a player base believing there is a place for the true pro to make a living. A group of pros who will do the things other sports prosdo. Play at a high level. Carry themselves well give back work at it

Pool needs that more than luck

Events need LUCK for one simple reason. THE VENDORS(Tiger,Omega,Predator,OB,Muellers,Pooldawg, and every other one)

With no luck your right it runs amateurs off. Amateurs are the ones that spend all the money at the booths buying billiard supplies of all sorts. Amateurs is what keeps billiard companies afloat, its sure in the hell not the pros, they don't buy anything. They get billiard sponsors, so they are not there to buys or the most part. 99%.

So the more amateurs around the bigger success tourneys are. Plain and simple, on all levels. And when there's more amateurs around and it's packed there's a better chance of more cash down the road, for the pros(Added monies have a chance to grow).

So the best thing for the PROS is to quit trying to run the amateurs away from their events with rules, etc.

Good to hear someone

Actually agree with me. How many people REALLY have a chance to win these 10-ball events? 5 or 6 at best IMO. But change it back to 9ball and that number grows exponentially. I like 10ball, don't get me wrong but all the rules and the break being much tougher makes it harder for the second level guys to even compete much less win. And sure the best players should win but if the other guys never get a taste eventually they quit showing up.

I also agree that shorter races would possibly yield bigger fields and certainly bring more folks into the contender ranks. Overall good for the game.

I've said this many times and it will continue to be true using the current "formula". Only 15-20% of the field will make a profit (in this Tournament it may be 25%).

Can you imagine going to the tournament to work a job and only have a 25% chance of getting even and/or make a profit? The tournament directors, streaming video people, referees, and even some vendors are more likely (percentage wise) to make a profit than the players.

This creates an antagonistic, cannibalistic atmosphere (say that 3 times Fast) where the "Big Sharks" eat the "smaller Sharks". This violates the rules of synergy and creates "negative energy" in the environment because 75% of the players are going home loser. And throw in 10Ball where the break is such a factor and it's brutal for the "smaller sharks". Believe me you don't want "hungry little sharks" swimming around. ;)

I think the answer is much smaller "hand picked" fields and the rest must go through some "$100. qualifiers" to get in......this would also create better marketing opportunities and the promoter could take 10% of the prize fund and advertise the event or even get some TV Coverage if they were willing to spend 30% of the budget on TV.

Please! Set an example. Show the way. Sponsor and run an event and teach everyone how it should be done.

You're saying stick to 9-ball instead of 10-ball, or perhaps go for 8-ball?

9-Ball never had a problem getting outside sponsorship, nor making it on tv. This industries problem was keeping those sponsors, somewhat due to self interests.
