Little controversy in that last game! Playing an intentional foul is a loss of rack. Justin played an intentional foul in the last game because he was up by one and Joven only had like 90 seconds. The ref missed it, Justin missed it, and Joven didn't even know the rule.... That would have made it 5-5 with Joven breaking with 90 seconds.

I watched the match and saw the controversy, but myself and the commentators did not know what it was about.
I was sitting right next to him (he's my usual practice partner) and told him after he ran out and that's when he talked to the ref about it. He wanted them to add time back on the clock but there was no way that was going to happen. I told him be careful what you wish for because if he broke dry that would have given Justin time to win it outright!

15 seconds is pretty short but there is no reason 20 wouldn't work well. I think a lot of it is just what you get used to, a lot of the Europeans rarely if ever looked rushed on a 15 second clock. That 15 seconds is the same amount of time for all players, they just need to use it wisely.

Yep. I spoke to them this morning about it all. They said "we need to have a meeting and get all the staff on the same page with the rules." The weekend is 98% 8-ball so I guess I can give them a pass. I'm out now so I get to watch some great pool all day!
